The Age of Clinton: America in the 1990sThe 1990s was a decade of extreme change. Shifts in culture, politics, and technology radically altered the way Americans did business, expressed themselves, and thought about their role in the world. At the center of it all was Bill Clinton, the charismatic and flawed baby boomer president, along with his polarizing but increasingly popular wife, Hillary. The 1990s was a decade of extreme change. Shifts in culture, politics, and technology radically altered the way Americans did business, expressed themselves, and thought about their role in the world. At the center of it all was Bill Clinton, the charismatic and flawed baby boomer president, along with his polarizing but increasingly popular wife, Hillary.

Although it was in many ways a Democratic Gilded Age, the 1990s was also a time of great anxiety. The Cold War was over. America was stable and prosperous. Yet Americans felt more unmoored and isolated. This was the era of glitz and grunge, when we relished living in the Republic of Everything even as we feared it might degenerate into the Republic of Nothing. Bill Clinton dominated this era, but his complex legacy has yet to be clearly defined.

Historian Gil Troy examines Clinton's presidency alongside the decade's cultural changes. Taking the '90s year-by-year, Troy shows how the culture of the day shaped the Clintons even as the Clintons shaped it, offering answers to two enduring questions about Bill Clinton's legacy: How did such a talented politician leave Americans thinking he accomplished so little when he actually accomplished so much? And, to what extent was Clinton responsible for the catastrophes of the following decade, specifically 9/11 and the collapse of the housing market?

Even more relevant as we head toward the 2016 election, The Age of Clinton will appeal to readers on both sides of the aisle as it chronicles the wild, transformative decade and the president at its center.

Not indestructible
Color: Carrot Orange
It took 20 minutes for my dog to have the squeaker removed!

poor quality product
Color: Carrot Orange
very poor quality. The actual color is not as picture. more like being washed many times. the rope knots went loos almost immediately after a few play. The worst part is the so called "squeaky" whistle, you have to squees very hard to hear a little sound. don't buy it!

Dog loves even though they are thin product dog loves them and Picks Them out of many many toys.
These were super thin and I thought about tearing a hole in them and putting in a slight bit of stuffing. However, my dog absolutely loves them and we fling them across the house and the yard like little Frisbees. They are very lightweight but kind of a corduroy stitched fabric and they have lasted quite some time and been through the washer and dryer many times and abused. Still holding up and the dog loves them. Highly recommend a great product for the price.

Will Buy Again--Eventually as they are hearty
My dog loves these "trash babies" as the size, squeaker & trash /cellphane sound the crinkle toy makes brings her joy. this brings me joy as the stitching is hearty and toys hold up when cleaned in my washing machine & dryer. Her first trash baby is still going strong after a year tho the crinkle sound has dimminshed some the sweaker is good as new. I bought these to rotate to wash and keep a new one for travel. Very durable! good size for my 20 pound mini aussie.

Cute, big enough and top notch quality
These are SO CUTE! The look exactly like the pictures so I am really glad about that. They are quite substantial in size, big enough. See pics :). I gift one of three to my friend's dog. The texture is soft and boucle like and soothing for me and the doggos! The squeakiness is very prominent but not present in all parts of the toy - so its annoying. I am also glad these have no stuffing because they look great as is and lack of the stuff make them easy to chew on. The cuteness got me on this one and I may repurchase again, if need be.
