This comprehensively researched and well-illustrated survey guides the walker to the seventy-eight air-crash sites in the southern region of the High Peak, from Edale to Buxton.

Between them, the High Peak and White Peak areas have accounted for over 300 air crashes [301 crash sites, 308 aircraft]. Most of these occurred because aircrews had unwittingly drifted over high ground.

It is appreciated that many walkers prefer to have tangible evidence to seek out. Part One, therefore, contains twenty-seven sites where surface evidence exists.

Part Two, contains similar details of the fifty-one sites where no such evidence remains. All, however, have been equally authenticated, and in each case a proven ten-digit grid reference is given.

Part Three aims to save walker-investigators time and effort, detailing six sites which, though often found in print, are spurious. Part Four introduces two additional sites, an amendment, and a politic set-down.

No other way
Format: Kindle
I found “servant-leadership” as the best way to lead by the simple fact that, despite or even in spite of being counter intuitive and a paradox in itself, it is what Jesus showed us as “the way” - Do you want to lead? Be the last. That’s leading.

simple yet profound
Format: Kindle
The principles presented in this book are quite basic; serving others creates a motivation for them. Yet there is a difficulty in the personal challenges of servant-leadership to remain humble enough to know yourself and understand the concept of putting the highest good above one's own agenda. I enjoyed the examples of leaders who seemingly gave of themselves for the good of a bigger community. They understood their part of the greater good.

Timeless
Format: Kindle
Reading this book applies as much today as the day it was written. Greenleaf reminds us how to get back to the basics of leading well. It's simple; you have to care for those you lead. True leadership is touchy and feely--it's empathic. Through empathy, a leader learns she must serve her followers if she is going to lead them well. A must read!
