Robert Sotelo is the nom de plume of Andrew Doig, a 36-year-old serial musician originally from Peterborough. Andrew's middle name is Robert, whilst Sotelo is his mother's maiden name. Using this alter ego he's been able to write and record the twelve songs that make up his debut solo record Cusp. Sotelo plays every instrument on the album and recorded and edited it with long-term friend John Hannon throughout 2016 at No Studios in Rayleigh, Essex. Sotelo's verdant world of sound is at once intimate, choosing to build songs up from ambitious layers of instrumentation into miniature psych pop overtures of genuine sincerity of feeling. Very much grounded in that particular forward-facing strain of mid-60s rock that edged towards Sgt. Pepper, Sotelo's music owes as much to Davies and McCartney's unashamed belief in melody as it does to the uncertainty and confusion that comes with mid-thirties existentialism. With Cusp, Sotelo has created a vast tapestry of songs that stand up and sound afresh. "Bring Back The Love" is a dream-swept ballad of expansive vocal refrains and pools of spidery guitar contemplation. "Marinade" is a song about having no money wrapped up in a hypnotic cycle of chiming bittersweet guitars and gentle keyboard blushes. "Bronte Paths" is another homespun wonder-pop moment, sounding more like a rediscovered gem than a contemporary song. Many of the tracks on Cusp deal with matters of imbalance in Sotelo's life like when his North London flat fell into disrepair before being swallowed up by property developers ("Tenancy Is Up"). In fact, "Alan Keay Is Fit For Work" is directly drawn from his experiences in support work of a man he represented amid the recent benefits debacle. "Version" is a sublimely panoramic number about spending too much time trying to write songs on your own and how it affects your relationships. "Dr Parsley" is a complex song of hope rooted in an unsure present, it's subtle use of percussion and sumptuous vocal helping to guide listeners. The album closes suitably with "Brother You're Complicated" a piano-driven high note from the record, lush with choirs of voices and brushed drum flourishes. Cusp is about loss, recovery and delight in starting anew, finding out the future isn't just a continuation. Cover art by Daniel Sean Kelly. Silky and Soothing

I thought I was getting 1 of the queen sized but I got 2. I got these for my Pomeranian's fuzzy pillow. He's always hot and these are very cooling and very good quality. He loves them and are very comfortable for him. They totally transformed his shaggy old pillow. I used the larger body pillow covers to replace the covers I had. They matched my bedspread perfectly. I use 2 body pillows along the exterior wall in my bedroom where there is cold coming through the floor in the winter. I'm sure I will enjoy them in the summer when it's hot too!

Finally sleeping through the night without waking up drenched
I was dealing with night sweats almost every night. Waking up overheated, flipping my pillow over constantly, just uncomfortable and restless. It was starting to mess with my sleep in a real way.
Since switching to this cooling pillowcase (and pairing it with a cooling blanket), it’s been a completely different experience. I’m actually staying cool through the night and not waking up soaked or irritated.
The fabric feels cool to the touch right away and doesn’t trap heat like a regular pillowcase. It’s smooth, comfortable, and still feels good after washing. Not stiff or weird like some “cooling” materials can be.
Is it magic? No. But does it noticeably reduce overheating and help you sleep better? Absolutely.
If you run hot at night or deal with night sweats, this is one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference. I wish I had bought it sooner.

so far so good
I was surprised at this pair of pillow cases only because the material seemed impossible to be cooling - it's that weird polyester blend. So far I have not awoken feeling sweaty around my face and scalp. I don't recall what I originally paid but I think it is great value for money! If you are sensitive to out of the box smell, I washed mine first and it didn't impede on the efficacy of the cooling!

It’s like sleeping on a beach in San Vito lo Capo
Italian voice:
I’m a big meaty fella so I put off a lot of heat ya hear. These pillow cases have changed my life. One moment they’re hot and the next you flip them and you’re blasted with a blast of ice cool what it feels like to chew 5 gum feeling capeesh. I would reccomend these pillow cases to even my grandma. If ya wanta get a rest so good that it feels like ya been sleeping with the fishes get these pillow cases, they’re the real deal. Then stop at Pauline’s joint and grab a slice of pizza say Vinnie sent ya. Anyways I gotta go my wife’s cooking up a mean lasgna and we’re gonna watch the dodgers. Let me know how these treat ya I guarantee they will change your life. Vinnie out
