This text has been written to provide a basis for the study and development of personal knowledge in the biomass and wind power sector.The cogeneration applied to biomass allows to fully exploit the thermal and electric energy where it is needed and to create the micro energy plants. The biogas produced by the anaerobic fermentation of biomass allows the conversion of slaughterhouse waste, industrial waste, sewage sludge, zootechnical and municipal organic waste into an energy source useful for the automotive industry and for the production of thermal and electric energy .Industrial automation has become essential for the monitoring and operation of the machines, which is why to understand and apply it, it is necessary to start from simple models in order to cover increasingly complex models.The student, the professional or simply the self-taught who face industrial automation for the first time will find in this text a treatment that starting from the basics of PLC programming will be accompanied step by step to the development of increasingly complex and structured programs.
