Product Overview

This Sun Gold Power 10kW 48V pure sine wave solar inverter is built for off-grid solar systems that need real capacity, clean AC power, and straightforward control in one unit. It combines battery charging, dual MPPT solar controllers, and WiFi monitoring so you can build a capable system without stacking extra boxes. It supports single-phase 120V or split-phase 120V/240V output, making it a practical fit for a wide range of residential and light-duty applications where equipment needs to run smoothly and predictably.

In day-to-day operation, it converts solar energy into usable AC power and manages charging behavior through selectable charging and output modes. When solar production is strong, the system can prioritize solar. When conditions change, utility or hybrid behavior can be used where applicable. Time-slot charging and discharging adds another layer of control for peak and off-peak scheduling, helping the system follow a plan instead of reacting blindly.

For properties with heavier loads or expanding power needs, this inverter supports parallel connection up to 6 units for increased power and surge capacity, up to 60kW output. It is also rated at 10,000W with a maximum peak output of 20,000W, and supports motor load up to 6HP. Built-in protection functions are included as specified, covering PV input over-voltage/current, AC input over-voltage, battery over-voltage, and overload protection. Battery compatibility is broad across 48V battery types including AGM, sealed, gel, flooded, and LiFePO4, with a user mode option plus battery-free activation support.

Key Features

  • Dual MPPT solar controllers with maximum open-circuit voltage of 500V per input
  • Single-phase (120V) or split-phase (120V/240V) output with Wi-Fi monitoring
  • Parallel connection support up to 6 units for increased power and surge capacity
  • Rated output 10,000W, peak output 20,000W, motor load up to 6HP, with multiple protection functions

What’s Included

  • 10kW 48V pure sine wave solar inverter with battery charging and dual MPPT solar controllers integrated
  • WiFi monitoring capability

Best For

  • Off-grid solar systems needing 10kW continuous output with 20kW peak capability
  • Homes, cabins, and shops that require split-phase 120V/240V or single-phase 120V output
  • Battery-based systems using 48V AGM, sealed, gel, flooded, or LiFePO4 batteries
  • Sites with motor loads up to 6HP
  • Systems that need selectable charging and AC output modes for energy management
  • Projects that may scale by paralleling up to 6 units for up to 60kW output

Why This One Makes Sense

This inverter is a solid fit when you want strong off-grid capability without overcomplicating the build. You get 10,000W rated output with 20,000W peak power for demanding start-ups, plus dual MPPT solar control and integrated battery charging in one unit. Output flexibility supports both 120V and 120/240V service, and the four charging modes plus four AC output modes give you practical control over how the system behaves as conditions change. Time-slot charging and discharging helps align operation with a schedule, and CAN and RS485 communication support simplifies integration with compatible batteries. If the system needs to grow, parallel support up to 6 units provides a clear path to higher capacity without changing platforms.

If you only buy one technical computer book, this is it
Format: Paperback
Disclaimer: I owned the first edition for years and read it a dozen times, mainly for pleasure since it’s not only informative but also just enjoyable to read. I’m a professional software architect and have dozens of textbooks on computer science and engineering so I’ve been around the block. This is the kind of book I would buy all for all my friends (if I had more than a couple) and family members (if they were even slightly into computers, which they aren’t sadly). Petzold does an exceptional job at describing digital logic and guides you through building a conceptual CPU from very first principles. I think his bottom up approach is the way to go and has helped me understand complex topics in an extremely simple way. When I’m not reading fiction, this is my go to bedtime reading. The second edition has about 100 more pages than the first and some content has been completely reworked and it’s great. If you ever had even a passing interest in knowing how computers work at a very fundamental level, get this book!

First programmer?
Format: Paperback
As an ardent reader of the past 1st edition, I was fairly excited to get the latest version. That is, until I encountered the history chapter of the new edition. For one thing, what I do NOT understand in this second edition is the newly added description of August Ada Byron (countless of Lovelace). The author claims it was Babbage who was the first programmer to design the engines, not Ada. I am not trying to start a futile argument here about who has more or fewer contributions, etc. What I am trying to assert here is that it is undisputed that Ada (unless the new evidence arises) left *the very first demonstration* of what this seemingly imaginary machine, which didn't even physically exist, was capable of through her program. Because Babbage designed the engine itself, that doesn't automatically put him in the position of a programmer (despite Babbage being a brilliant engineer/scientist and may have had a simple or detailed program in his mind). However, it was Ada who gave a definite touch to programming concepts that ultimately led to modern-day programming. Ada deserves more recognition than a mere "tutorial writer," and she is certainly entitled to the title she deserves. Other than that, like the previous edition, this book is a must-read for people who are from related/unrelated fields. I always loved the 1st edition, and I would do too with the 2nd. Still, I think history should always be approached with more care, particularly if matters have potential controversies.

One of the few books worth your time
Format: Paperback
If you want to learn computers, start here. Learning from a historical perspective removes complexity of trying to start with say GPUs - you learn just like computer engineers did, incrementally.

An absolutely brilliant book
Format: Paperback
This is an amazing book for the right kind of reader. It's a lot like Euclid's Elements but for computers as it leads the reader through designing a computer from first principles and builds to the point of creating software and adding peripherals. It's an amazingly clear but slightly challenging read. I have given this book as a gift many many times. It's an absolute classic in my opinion.

Great introduction to Godot 4
Format: Kindle
I've been writing various types of software for 10 years and was interested in learning Godot for 2D games. This book turned out to be informative and easy to follow and gave me the knowledge I was seeking. I learn best by example, and this project focused book was excellent in that regard. If you have zero programming experience, I would recommend learning something like Python before diving into this book. The book teaches with GDScript, which is Godot's Python-like programming language. There are some minor mistakes in the book, but an errata is currently being kept up-to-date on the github repository for the book. I opened a few issues for things I discovered, and the author added those things to the errata. Keep this in mind if you end up getting stuck on something and are 100% sure you followed the directions in the book. I use Unreal for 3D games, so I have not yet gone through the chapters of this book for 3D games. I wouldn't expect a drastic drop in quality, but for the purposes of this review I can't give any insight on the 3D chapters.
