He completed his ThM at Dallas Theological Seminary, majoring in preaching. This current work is the culmination of his doctoral studies in preaching at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary where he studied under the greatest homiletical mind of our generation, Dr. Haddon Robinson.

This thesis demonstrates that sermon ideation teams are a superior approach to determine the exegetical and homiletical ideas of a Bible passage. Much research is available on how lay people collaborate with their pastor/preacher in sermon preparation, but little is written on peer-to-peer collaboration. This thesis addresses that deficit. As the preacher (Koheleth) of Ecclesiastes said, "Two are better than one." (Ecclesiastes 4:9)
