Hailed as one of the best books of 2009 by the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times, this vibrant portrait of 1930s culture masterfully explores the anxiety and hope, the despair and surprising optimism of distressed Americans during the Great Depression. Morris Dickstein, whom Norman Mailer called "one of our best and most distinguished critics of American literature," has brought together a staggering range of material-from epic Dust Bowl migrations to zany screwball comedies, elegant dance musicals, wildly popular swing bands, and streamlined Deco designs. Exploding the myth that Depression culture was merely escapist, Dickstein concentrates on the dynamic energy of the arts, and the resulting lift they gave to the nation's morale. A fresh and exhilarating analysis of one of America's most remarkable artistic periods, with Dancing in the Dark Dickstein delivers a monumental critique. A New York Times Notable Book, Los Angeles Times Favorite Book, San Francisco Chronicle Best Book of 2009, and Huffington Post Best Book.

Awesome cover worth the money
Size: 55 Inch, Color: black
Nice and heavy duty. Been a heavy rain season this year and this cover is a champ. It's thick and easy to use. Did my cheapo nexgrill 5 burner perfectly.

I got 6 years use out of it and just re-ordered a new one! Best grill cover I’ve ever purchased.
Size: 50 Inch, Color: black, Size: 50 Inch, Color: black
Very durable! I noticed earlier this spring that mine was starting to rip after several strong spring wind storms. I knew I had had it for several years but I wasn’t sure how long. I went in my orders page and saw that I ordered it back in 2020 so I got 6 years out of it!! Note that it stays outside on the deck all year round, and that includes during Northeast US winters with frigid temperatures and snow and I only now started to see the tears in it this spring. The tear started at the top of the grill, and actually started falling apart more after I touched it. Refer to the attached photos of mine after 6 years. I think it’s very durable for sitting outside for 6 years and only now only starting to show wear . You can also see how it didn’t really fade despite getting full afternoon sunlight. The velcro ties at the bottom, are also a plus as far as getting it to stay in place and not blow off. That’s why I definitely just repurchased the same one. Hopefully, I will get at least 6 years out of the new one when it arrives tomorrow.

Looks sharp, concert black, comfortable some stretch
Size: Medium, Color: Black
I bought this for my son to wear at his band concerts, and it’s been perfect. He’s about 5’8” and 155 lbs, and I got him a men’s medium—it fits really well with a comfortable, true-to-size feel. The quality is excellent: soft, lightweight, and breathable, with just enough stretch so he has the flexibility he needs while playing trombone. It also looks really sharp on stage.
