Ion Din Dorobanti is one of the many monikers of the ubiquitous producer Ion Dumitrescu from Bucharest. His 7" single on Pingipung shows the oriental influences on bass music in his hometown. Side A features a radical Afro-electro rework of Alex Putiu's "Mi-E Poftă de Tine RuIon din Dorobanti's original production on the other side is a track pulsating on a 9/8 groove infested with synth nostalgia, all is spiced up by Nicu Chinezu' on clarinet.
