This kindly, self-effacing man then went on with his life, sharing with other members of the "Greatest Generation" such experiences as being the first in his family to go to college, thanks to the G.I. Bill, marriage, children, divorce, remarriage, and a lifelong job with a major corporation. In Camp's case it was one that built the creatures he loved: airplanes.
