The duo, which also includes King Dude engineer Shawn Flemming, will now release it's debut album, Becomes Awake. The full-length follow-up to the group's 2017 debut EP, Stands with Death, a dark, dusty discourse on the departure and ultimate dissolution of life, Becomes Awake symbolizes a movement from darkness into light; finding balance through acceptance of one's own qualities of both the light and the dark; the good and the bad. The struggle of finding balance is never ending. While King Dude channels dark folk in a manner that fits along with former tour mate Chelsea Wolfe, The Dark Red Seed veer down a much heavier path. Standing equally in the tradition of dark folk and modern heavy psych, Larson notes that the three albums that most inspired Becomes Awake are Spiritualized' Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space, The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and No Quarter: Jimmy Page & Robert Plant Unledded. The resultant powerfully dark, rich sound of The Dark Red Seed carries an emotionally gripping weight that draws you in and refuses to let go. Striking cover art by Paul Romano (Mastodon, Dälek) furthers the album's potent allure. The instrumentation and scales on Becomes Awake are heavily inspired by Indian and Persian music as well as Roma music. Densely arranged with string, horn and percussion sections the album features contributions from musicians Kelly Pratt (LCD Soundsystem, War on Drugs, St Vincent) and Steve Nistor (Sparks, Marissa Nadler, Daniel Lanois). The harmonic, rhythmic and formal structures release a potent richness and depth of sound created by the collision of Eastern and Western music and the merging of tones specific to each. I would not recommend this vacuum. The hose does not swivel at the base so its in a knot.The handle does not have the power switch, not convenient.When you pull the power cord out the whole vacuum moves.For the price it feels cheap.

A Game Changer for Pet Hair Cleanup!

This robot vacuum and mop combo has been fabulous. We have a golden retriever that constantly keeps us on our toes with shedding and cleaning, but this has definitely helped cut down the time spent cleaning every day. The suction power is impressive, it does a great job on pet hair, and the mop feature is a huge bonus. I also love the self-emptying dock and app control — it makes everything so convenient. Definitely worth it for pet owners!

Pretty solid upgrade from my old robot vacuum

I bought this robot vacuum to replace an older one I had, and after using it for about a month, I’d say it’s been working pretty well overall. When I first got it, one thing I noticed was that it’s a bit on the larger side, so it does take up some space. Setup was pretty simple though, and once it got going, it just kind of did its thing without me having to babysit it. The suction is definitely strong enough for everyday dust and pet hair. I’ve used it on both hard floors and carpet, and it handled both without any issues. The mopping feature is new to me since my old robot didn’t have it. I’d say the results are about what I expected, it’s great for maintaining daily cleanliness, but for tougher stains it’s still not quite the same as scrubbing by hand. For regular upkeep though, it does the job just fine. The corner cleaning has actually been a nice surprise. It will go under furniture and use the side brush to get dust out of corners, which used to be something I had to do myself. Now I barely have to think about it.
So far, both my family and I are pretty happy with it. We haven’t run into any major issues. It does a good job avoiding objects around the house, although there were a couple of times where its path looked a bit random to me. Still, most of the time it’s quietly doing its job and saving us a lot of time on cleaning.

Powerful and convenient

Really happy with this robot vacuum so far. The suction is strong and it picks up dust and pet hair easily. Mapping is accurate, and it cleans efficiently without missing spots.
The self-emptying dock is super convenient and saves a lot of time. Mopping works well for light cleaning too.Overall, a great upgrade and definitely worth it.

Better Than Expected

Been using the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 for a few days now and honestly it’s better than I expected.The suction power is strong, especially for dust, hair, and small debris. The mopping performance is also surprisingly good compared to older robot vacuums.What I like most is the automation — auto-emptying, auto mop washing, and auto drying make daily cleaning much easier.Navigation is smart and smooth, and it rarely bumps into things.The only downside is the dirty water tank needs regular cleaning, and thick carpets still clean better with a traditional vacuum.Overall, it’s a great upgrade for busy people who want to keep their home clean without spending too much time on it.
