The Kiloview NDI CORE Hardware System (64 NDI Inputs), also cataloged as the NDI CORE Max 64, is an enterprise-tier, heavy-duty network router and virtualization appliance. While Kiloview distributes its standard NDI CORE as containerized software (such as the Basic or Pro editions), the Max 64 is a physical turnkey 3RU server rig.

It comes pre-configured with a optimized Linux engine and pre-activated software directly out of the box, freeing broadcast engineers from deploying Docker environments, running hardware component compatibility checks, or managing network performance tuning.

Core Engineering and Operational Features

  • Hardware-Tested 64-Stream Grid Floor: While the underlying software features an un-capped routing matrix architecture, Kiloview guarantees that this physical server can ingest, process, amplify, and route up to 64 simultaneous NDI input channels and output to 64 distinct master NDI virtual channels concurrently without dropped frames or processing lag.

  • Format-Agnostic Stream Routing: The physical system handles mixed-format networks effortlessly. It concurrently processes high-bandwidth Full NDI (SpeedHQ) and compressed, high-efficiency NDI|HX2 / NDI|HX3 streams. It accepts any frame rate layout from SD up to crisp 4K UHD at 60 frames per second, handling both standard horizontal studio camera layouts and vertical mobile video feeds.

  • 1-Frame Clean Switch Engine: Acting as a digital crosspoint matrix switcher, the appliance manages signal transitions in roughly 1 frame (under 33ms). This completely eliminates the visual dropouts, frozen macroblocks, lagging artifacts, or annoying black screens that often occur when shifting network paths manually or using unmanaged software matrices.

  • Metadata and Telemetry Transparent Pass-Through: The processing engine operates as a transparent data conduit. It ensures that critical secondary signals—such as multi-channel digital audio mapping, frame-accurate timecode telemetry, active Tally light triggers, and bi-directional PTZ camera tracking commands (VISCA/Pelco)—remain perfectly preserved and matched to the video payload as it shifts through the routing layers.

  • Signal Replication and Amplification: Unlike basic software switches that merely point a destination to an origin, the NDI CORE Max hardware can duplicate and amplify a single incoming network signal. This allows a single frontend camera feed to be replicated into multiple distinct virtual NDI outputs, enabling dozens of hardware decoders or multi-viewers to pull from the same source simultaneously without overloading the physical camera’s local network card.

  • Automated Playlist Polling loops: Operators can configure dedicated playback sequences or polling playlists for security observation loops, corporate digital signage networks, or automated conference switching. Individual sources can be arranged in custom orders via drag-and-drop, with unique play durations and interval parameters assigned to each step.

Critical Turnkey Hardware Architecture Specs

To handle multiple gigabits of concurrent live video data safely, the server rack is built around robust, server-grade hardware infrastructure:

  • Processing Core Engine: Intel Core i7 8-Core, 16-Thread processor running a high dominant clock speed.

  • System Memory Allocation: 32 Gigabytes of dual-channel DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz.

  • High-Throughput Networking Interface Array: Equipped with an Intel 82599 chip controlling two 10GbE SFP+ fiber ports for massive data backhaul capacity, alongside a standard Gigabit Ethernet port for management or localized control lanes.

  • Industrial Mission-Critical Cooling: The 3RU rack enclosure incorporates a high-efficiency internal liquid-cooling radiator backed by an array of four heavy-duty industrial exhaust fans blowing across a wide ventilation mesh, preventing thermal throttling during continuous 24/7/365 broadcasts.

  • Power Infrastructure Redundancy: Fitted with redundant power supply units to keep operations running smoothly if a venue circuit breaker trips or an active AC line drops voltage.

💡 Operational System Tips for the NDI CORE Max 64

The Dual 10GbE SFP+ Bandwidth Allocation Rule: Do not bottleneck this high-performance machine by running your network traffic across a single link. A single 4K60 Full NDI stream pulls roughly 250 Mbps, and an HD 1080p60 stream pulls around 125 Mbps. Scale that up across the server's 64-input capacity, and your overall network throughput can easily climb past 8 to 16 Gigabits per second. For total system stability, always leverage both 10GbE SFP+ interfaces via a link aggregation group (LAG/LACP) or split your workflows cleanly—using Port 1 exclusively for ingesting edge camera feeds and Port 2 for distributing virtual NDI relays to your control room multi-viewers, recorders, and production switchers.

  • Streamlining Desktop Operations with Dual Panels: The server UI features two distinct operation panels: the traditional Cross-Point Grid Matrix Panel and a clean I/O List Panel. For complex, fast-paced live events, map the web console to a dual-monitor desktop environment. Keep your master source naming, discovery parameters, and signal diagnostic meters visible on one monitor using the I/O Panel, while using the second monitor to display the interactive Cross-Point Grid for fast, click-accurate route switching.

  • Securing Control with Multi-Tier Role Management: Because the turnkey system acts as the central backbone for all video signal distribution across your venue, an accidental click can instantly take a live camera feed offline. To prevent this, dive into the system log settings to configure User Role Management. Restrict your general crew members to basic, isolated destination switching panels, and lock master server settings, IP configurations, and source deletion tools behind administrator passwords.

Runs like a Rolex
Color: 5535-ZP-blue
What a watch!! A very nice watch. Everyone asks if it is a Rolex!! I say NO but it keeps me on time like a Timex. The band is wearing a little quickly but otherwise thumbs up!

Most important review for this watch and company.
Color: 5566-ZP-blue face, Color: 5566-ZP-blue face
I bought two and they both broke. Customer service has ignored my e-mail. What more do you need to know about a company? I personally wrote them through their own website, so they could keep Amazon out of it. It makes me angry that they won't even reply to my e-mail. I was nice. Both watches broke, neither one if actually water proof. The band is exceptionally thin and it WILL break on you once it arrives. It's so poor, that my body moisture is what got into the face of the watch. What the heck? I've had better 9 dollar watches from Walmart. Zero out of zero for the COMPANY who doesn't care about their customers, and zero out of ten for watch quality. Useless. I wasted 60-80 bucks on two of these! BOTH BROKE! and in more than one way!!!!! Terribly marked up (this is less than a 10 dollar Walmart watch - quality is LOWER than the lowest 3 dollar watches off Temu, Shien, Walmart), customer service is non-existent, and the band WILL BREAK on you. It's worthless. Take your money somewhere else. Attached pictures show the moisture leak from my sweat, but in real life, it's actually much worse. Worthless, not usable. Two of them folks. TWO!

A very nice looking inexpensive watch for work if you are in a job that you don't want to wear an expensive watch.

As Advertised
Color: 5535-HP-white
The watch is what I expected, and works upon receipt as advertised. At this price, if it only works for 4-6 months it's easily worth the money. Large, nice looking face, day/date. Wristband is what you'd expect, but adequate and comfortable.

Dies after a Year
Color: 5566-ZP-white face
Watch worked fine for about a year, then just stopped working - just like that. No amount of shaking or gentle impacts would get it to start ticking again. I'd also say my biggist issue with it was it was always difficult to tell which hand was the second hand and which hand was the minute hand since they're both the same color and thickness. Wish the hour and minute hands were a little thicker so they'd stand out a little better and/or that the minute hand was a different color so it was offset. Resulted in having to study the watch to get the time instead of a quick glimpse to see what time it was. Irritating after a while.
