Nanosep centrifugal devices are formed out of two components, a filtrate receiver tube and a sample reservoir containing the membrane. These component parts are constructed from low protein binding polypropylene that also offers chemical compatibility for aggressive solvents. Instead of using O-rings or adhesives that could add extractables or bind precious biomolecules the product is constructed using an ultrasonic welding technique.

These centrifugal devices are very simple to use. The sample to be processed is pipetted into the upper reservoir of the device. The device is placed into the appropriate centrifuge (taking care that the rotor is balanced) and spun. Filtrate can be recovered by removing the lower reservoir of the device and using a pipette or pipette tip to remove the liquid. Nanosep centrifugal devices can be used with sample volumes of up to 500 µL, and fit in standard centrifuge rotors that accept 1.5 mL tubes.

Ensures rapid processing of samples
Low protein binding Omega membrane for ultrafiltration applications
A wide range of MWCOs, color coded for easy identification
Constructed of low-binding polypropylene
Ultrasonically welded seals prevent bypass or seal failure
Fits standard centrifuge rotors that accept 1.5 mL tubes
Nanosep centrifugal devices with Omega membranes can be used in a number of ultrafiltration applications including; the concentration, purification, and desalting of peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, DNA, and RNA. They can also be used in the isolation of DNA from agarose gel slices, and to separate proteins, oligonucleotides, and RNA from acrylamide gels.

Omega ultrafiltration membranes are manufactured from low protein binding modified polyethersulfone minimizing the possibility of sample losses due to non-specific binding. A wide selection of molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) options are available and devices are color coded for easy membrane selection.

Pall supply users with a Nanosep concentration selection guide. The guide allows users to concentrate a sample to the concentration of their choice. This is achieved by selecting a volume of buffer solution to place in the device filtrate receiver tube prior to sample processing. The total volume of liquid in the device determines the final retentate volume.

Has fit perfectly into my morning espresso
Color: Black&Silver
This seems to me to be an excellent small kitchen scale. I am new to the complexities of espresso making and have begun using this scale every morning to measure my dose and output. It is working just fine. Easy to operate, keep clean and store. I did not give it 5 stars because I have limited comparisons but I don’t expect and will not bother looking for anything better.

Perfectly fits what I needed for my espresso habit!
Color: Black&Silver
This Maestri House mini coffee scale is a great little tool for espresso and pour-over. The size is compact enough to fit under a portafilter or cup, and the 0.1g accuracy makes dialing in coffee much easier. I like the built-in timer, rechargeable USB-C battery, and clean black-and-silver look. It feels precise, practical, and easy to keep near the espresso machine. Great value for anyone who wants more consistent coffee.

Maestro House Mini Coffee Scale
I have begun to drink tea, pu’erh tea to be specific. I have several varieties and I have had a problem with getting consistent results. The varieties can be very different in size depending on when the leaves are harvested (leaves harvested in spring are much smaller). So the easiest way to get consistent results is by weight. This scale is very easy to use with a ceramic tea scoop, set the tea scoop on the scale, zero it out and add tea leaves. This has made my results much better, without the wild swings in strength I had been getting before trying to eyeball even measures. This scale gives me accurate measurements to one tenth of a gram.

Mostly great, except one little annoyance
Color: Black&Silver, Color: Black&Silver
Pros- lightweight, small, very accurate, easy to clean, timer included. Cons- I use this to brew espresso on my Breville Touch and to get an accurate reading, you have to place something flat (structured) under the scale. Otherwise the reading just jumps all over the place. I know lot of espresso machines have the same base, so this might be an issue for some! This is my reason for 4/5 stars. It’s an easy fix, it’s just kind of annoying. Value for the price seems to be on point. It’s easy to clean. It has a timer as well as scale (nice for espresso). Buttons work the first time you push them. That’s it that’s all

TLDR: Buy it. It works well, it has impressive and useful features, it looks great, it’s thin/low-profile, and it’s a great price. Detailed review: I’m very happy with this scale, and it has certainly upped my espresso game by leaps and bounds. I’m able to weigh my beans very precisely down to a tenth of a gram (roughly the weight of a single bean), so my dosing is on point. Also, it fits beneath the portafilter with room to spare for my cup, so I can weigh my shots and accurately measure my input/output ratio. And automatic mode is magic! When the espresso hits the cup, the timer starts running, so I can measure flow rate along with everything else! Overall, super easy to use and very necessary for the at-home barista. One caveat: It acted weird on the 2nd or 3rd day, and I thought I was going to have to return it. The weight would slowly creep up even though I wasn’t adding any coffee. I dusted it off, made sure it was dry, set it on a more stable surface… I still don’t know what the matter was, but it stopped freaking out and it hasn’t really given me any trouble since. Also, I should mention that the automatic function doesn’t always work 100% perfectly; it works, and usually works quite well, but depending on the flow rate, you might get some drops dribbling into the cup and the timer not detect it right away. (I think the timer must be activated according to some sort of algorithm that looks for a certain increase in a certain amount of time, so a slower initial drip rate might not trigger it at first.) Also weirdly, it seems like about half of the time when the weight stops increasing (i.e., espresso stops flowing) , the timer pauses (as I think it’s supposed to do), but other times, the timer keeps running until you manually stop it. I don’t know… It’s a weird glitch, I guess, but it doesn’t really make any difference. The weight is accurate, and that’s the primary thing to keep an eye on. So, is it perfect? No, I guess not. But, it works extremely well and functions perfectly for my purposes. In fact, it’s a lot nicer and fancier than I expected – plus, it’s more affordable and more streamlined than its obvious rival the Acacia.
