MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance. Intolerant of hot and humid summers.  Leaf spot and powdery mildew can be an issue in humid climates.  After flowering, or if foliage declines, cut back to basal foliage to encourage growth and potential new bloom.  Leaf tips will brown if soil dries out, and may scorch in too much sun.  Watch for slugs.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Naturalized Areas, Rock Gardens, Wildlife Garden, and Containers.
