A richly symbolic and romantic ring, this bold Victorian double snake design is cast in glowing 18ct yellow gold and set with glittering old cut diamonds and tiny rubies for eyes.
The intertwined serpents, a motif beloved by Queen Victoria herself, symbolise eternal love, loyalty, and rebirth. In this example, their sculptural forms curve around the finger in perfect symmetry, each crowned with a line of antique-cut diamonds for added sparkle. The ruby eyes add a touch of drama and character, giving each serpent a life of its own.
This would have been a deeply sentimental jewel when first made, likely a love token or wedding ring and it remains every bit as powerful and passionate today.
