Nevertheless, Shimano still managed to make a big leap forward with the Di2 M8200 version. In the Deore XT crank, Shimano combines the ideal compromise between stiffness, durability and low weight. As a result, its range of use is almost limitless and it will show its strengths in cross-country races, including enduro tours.
Its design is based on its big sister XTR and has a modern look. The Deore XT crank is also manufactured using Shimano's proven cold forging process, which significantly optimizes the use of materials while still generating a high level of stability. The hard surface also ensures good resistance to external influences or flying stones. The Hollowtech II shaft standard and the simple attachment of the chainring using a lockring have been retained. With the Q-factor of 176 mm, the crank arms do not touch the chainstays even with slightly wider rear triangles and are therefore compatible with practically any frame.
