The Byylon Crystal: The Mist of Man Book OneStondar Furlington is a middle aged, overweight Brigellon native. Most of the peaceful farming and milling community's residents (including Stondar's parents) were washed away in the Great Flood, leaving the grief stricken survivors longing for answers. But when the mysterious Ceflors arrive claiming to be responsible for the torrential waters receding, the superstitious Brigellions question their real intent and aggressive enforcement of authority.

Stondar Furlington is a middle-aged, overweight Brigellon native. Most of the peaceful farming and milling community's residents (including Stondar's parents) were washed away in the Great Flood, leaving the grief-stricken survivors longing for answers. But when the mysterious Ceflors arrive claiming to be responsible for the torrential waters receding, the superstitious Brigellions question their real intent and aggressive enforcement of authority. After the Ceflors name him the town steward, Stondar is caught in between appeasing his Ceflor superiors and maintaining the trust of his fellow flood survivors. When Stondar interacts with a strange artifact he finds while sorting through a storage basement, he begins a mystical journey leading him on an epic adventure across the province of Nahmus. As Stondar makes new allies and fights to save his life, he is drawn to an ancient crystal and otherworldly beings and realizes he cannot go back to the life he once knew.
