The Hollyland Replacement Headset Side Foam for the SOLIDCOM M1 is a vital, low-cost maintenance accessory designed to extend the lifespan, hygiene, and comfort of your wireless intercom system. Because production headsets are subjected to hours of intense use, sweat, and varying environmental conditions on film sets, live stages, and houses of worship, the foam padding is engineered as a user-replaceable component.

This specific spare part addresses the "off-ear" side of the single-ear LEMO headsets that come standard with the Solidcom M1 system, ensuring a secure and pain-free fit during long production days.

Optimized Stability and Side Pressure Comfort

The Solidcom M1 utilizes a single-ear headset design to allow production crew members to monitor the intercom while keeping their other ear open to the physical environment. To keep the headset securely balanced on the operator's head, the non-earphone side features a stabilized T-bar temple pad.

The Side Foam is the exact replacement cushion that slips over this temple piece. It distributes the clamping force of the metal headband evenly across the side of the user's head, eliminating pressure points and preventing the headset from slipping off when a camera operator or stage manager leans over or moves abruptly.

Acoustic Openness and Micro-Climate Comfort

Unlike leatherette or vinyl ear pads that trap heat and moisture, the side foam is made from high-density, open-cell acoustic foam. This material selection provides two distinct benefits:

  • Breathability: It allows airflow directly to the skin, drastically reducing sweat buildup during outdoor summer shoots or under intense studio lighting.

  • Lightweight Profile: It adds virtually zero weight to the 7-ounce headset architecture, keeping the system unnoticeable even during a 12-hour broadcast shift.

Hygiene and Fleet Management

In multi-user environments—such as rental houses, corporate AV departments, or volunteer-run tech teams—sharing headsets can quickly become a hygiene issue. The side foam is designed to be pulled off and swapped out in seconds without the use of tools. Keeping a stockpile of these spares allows production managers to give each crew member a fresh, sanitary foam set at the beginning of a project, preventing the spread of oils and bacteria across the fleet.

Installation and Factory Specifications

As an official Hollyland spare part, this foam conforms precisely to the dimensions of the Solidcom M1’s standard LEMO headset frame. It features an elasticized sleeve mechanism that stretches snugly over the plastic T-bar core. Once installed, it resists spinning or sliding out of alignment, maintaining structural integrity through repeated deployment and packing cycles inside the system's hard carrying case.

Technical Summary

  • Type: Genuine Hollyland replacement side/temple cushion.

  • Compatibility: Explicitly sized for Hollyland Solidcom M1 standard single-ear wired headsets.

  • Material: High-density, anti-bacterial open-cell foam.

  • Application: Restores headset stability, eliminates side-head pain, and maintains production hygiene standards.

Whether you are managing an 8-user crew or running a production rental house, keeping a set of Solidcom M1 Headset Side Foams in your kit ensures your intercoms remain comfortable, sanitary, and ready for action.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
