Maple Morning is an experiment with unique ingredients. We brewed an English style golden ale using only Maris Otter and a slight touch of Victory malt with just enough Nugget hops to provide balance. It starts to get interesting in the whirlpool where we steep Candy cap mushrooms during the rest. Candy caps are known for imparting sweet maple syrup, butterscotch, and brown sugar aromas. After fermentation we aged this brew in a Caffè Amaro barrel, which is a coffee infused play on an Italian Amaro liqueur. The Candy cap steals the show on this one and reminds me of butter pecan ice cream.

Insightful and encouraging as well as biblical
I've been a Christian for over 40 years. This is hands down the best of ocean life ever read. I've read os won't chambers and Charles spurgeon. And they're great. But what I got from this devotional was a perspective that I had never seen before it challenged my thinking on Grace and Grace living. If anyone is struggling with performance anxiety or general OCD. Focusing on the grace of God can be a great help. Every devotion highlights our need and God's wonderful perfume provision of grace. I can't recommend this devotional enough. In fact it's one of my number one gifts for the people at church.
