Dandy Blend coffee substitute - Tastes AMAZING!

Dandy Blend is adapted from an herbal formula that originated in Austria some 200 years ago. It ended up in Canada, where Dr. Peter Gail, a Ph.D. Ethnobotanist from Cleveland Ohio, discovered it, in 1988, being sold in an obscure little herb shop tucked away on a back street in Toronto's Kensington Market. He brought it to the States and introduced it to his medical herbalist friends at their annual conferences. They fell in love with it, and began recommending it to their patients

With Dandy Blend, you are a winner in three ways

  • it tastes like coffee,
  • it costs the same or less than coffee,
  • and it is healthy
  • It is caffeine free, and has no acidity or bitterness.  It is the only herbal coffee substitute in theUSthat features both the health benefits of dandelion root and the rich, full-bodied flavor, smoothness and texture of real coffee. Many say that, because it lacks bitterness and acidity, it actually tastes better than coffee.
  • It is made of water-soluble extracts of roasted roots of dandelion, chicory and beets, and the grains of barley and rye. Nothing else is added. While we make no claims for Dandy Blend other than that it is a delicious herbal beverage with the taste, body, and texture of coffee, the ingredients - dandelion, chicory and beet roots, and barley and rye grains - are all health-promoting foods respected throughout the world.
  • It contains no gluten. Gluten, which is comprised of proteins that are not water-soluble, is left behind in the grounds to be composted during the extracting process, leaving Dandy Blend gluten-free.
  • The sweetness some perceive in Dandy Blend is primarily from the fructose that occurs naturally in the roots of dandelion and chicory. Many people require no additional sweeteners.
  • It contains over 50 trace minerals in each cup, most of which the body uses to help synthesize compounds needed in metabolism.
  • There are no headaches or other withdrawal symptoms when switching from coffee to Dandy Blend. It is like switching from one brand of coffee to another. Most people generally can't tell that they aren't drinking coffee.
  • On top of all this, Dandy Blend costs as little as 7 cents a cup - less, on a per cup basis, than coffee, or instant coffee alternatives that do not contain dandelion. To keep Dandy Blend affordable for everyone who already drinks coffee, we keep the price down as low as possible by distributing it directly. Dandy Blend supports Mom and Pop health food stores because they care for their customers personally.

Dandelion root is what makes Dandy Blend unique and so much better that it stands out from all other options available. It is the only instant coffee alternative in theUnited States that contains dandelion root. To Americans, dandelion may be considered a weed, but to people all over the world it is a valued vegetable and highly respected herbal medicine. It is one of the top six herbs in the Chinese medicine chest.

If your doctor or health practitioner has recommended that you give up coffee, and/or add dandelion to your diet, Dandy Blend is by far the easiest way to do that AND still continue enjoying the flavor and texture of a good "cuppa joe" at the same time.

Ingredients

Find Out Who Was the Legal Secretary
Format: Hardcover
I ordered this book after watching Nuremberg with Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe because I wanted to find out who was the woman accompanying Justice Jackson to Germany. Yes, that was not his wife, it was his legal secretary, Elsie Douglas. This book is the only source I could find that goes into any detail about their relationship. What it provides is nowhere near salacious, because it is evident that Jackson took his secrets to the grave. What details it does provide about the evident love triangle that existed in Jackson's life for many years is quite sufficient to explain the events of Nuremberg.

Well written. Factual sloppiness.
Format: Hardcover
Good insight into Jackson’s approach to the law. Thoroughly researched. Well written. However, Professor White made two egregious factual errors, both of which are an indication of sloppiness on his part, as well as that of his editors and peer reviewers. First, he refers to the World War 2 Chief of Naval Operations as the Secretary of the Navy. Second he states that Los Alamos National Laboratory is in California.

Judging Jackson
Format: Hardcover
Readers interested in FDR's era, the post-war Nuremberg Trial, and/or such important U.S. Supreme Court events as the Rosenberg spy case and Brown v. Board of Education will enjoy this well-researched book. Illuminating insights as to the characters of his fellow members of the High Court, especially Justices Black and Douglas, are also present. Of special interest in today's world is Justice Jackson's thinking on the limits of Executive Power in terms of war powers and foreign relations. I do think non-lawyers will be less interested when the author, a legal scholar, sometime goes into depth exploring aspects of Justice Jackson's thoughts on opaque technical areas, such as diversity jurisdiction under the constitution. And, I fail to see the need to spend much time on Justice Black's two children, as is done in chapter two "Family Matters." Why do I need to know that his daughter was a mediocre student in college or details about her early love life? Professor White clearly admires Robert H. Jackson as a fine advocate, brilliant writer, and independent judge, while noting some of his flaws. All in all, a good biography of an important American.
