The fossil measures 37 mm (1.5 inches) across with matrix. There are two ammonites in a pyrite matrix, both of which have highly detailed suture lines, ribbing, and spine tubercles. It is uncommon to find multi-ammonite pieces with this species in.
These are very popular ammonites but are becoming hard to find due to lack of erosion of the right layers in the cliffs. These large examples are especially uncommon these days. It has been sealed with a removable varnish for protection.
Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
