The book is in two parts, "The Problems" and "The Solutions." In the first part, each chapter begins with a list of schools attending, a list of winners, statistical results data, and short narrative of that year's competition. The second part contains full solutions to every problem. There is also an appendix containing an answer key to the Team, Relay, and Individual Rounds to make checking answers easier.

The problems are presented in a format to make reproducing them easy for teachers to create practice materials for their students.
