One of our most visceral and important memoirs on race in America, this is the story of Nathan McCall, who began life as a smart kid in a close, protective family in a black working-class neighborhood. Yet by the age of fifteen, McCall was packing a gun and embarking on a criminal career that five years later would land him in prison for armed robbery. In these pages, McCall chronicles his passage from the street to the prison yard--and, later, to the newsrooms of The Washington Post and ultimately to the faculty of Emory University. His story is at once devastating and inspiring. For even as he recounts his transformation, McCall compels us to recognize that racism is as pervasive in the newsroom as it is in the inner city, where it condemns so many black men to prison, to dead-end jobs, or to violent deaths. At once an indictment and an elegy, Makes Me Wanna Holler became an instant classic when it was first published in 1994. Now, some two decades later, it continues to bear witness to the great troubles--and the great hopes--of our nation. With a new afterword by the authorBinding Type: Paperback

Great lip balm
I have had chapped lips for most of my adult life. This product has been the first product that I have used, where my lips are not cracked, peeling or dry. There is no smell or taste, very neutral. I had to use the balm frequently in the beginning, now maybe only several times a day. One tube last a long time I highly recommend this lip balm.

Just ok
These are just simply too large to use as chapstick unless you do both top and bottom at the same time ( no thank you). I threw them away. 3 stars because it appears to be a good product, but they got the packaging all wrong to call it chap stick.

Replaced Vaseline - Far superior product
I received this as a gift a few months ago and it's all I use now. I use it on my lips and on my neck wrinkles.
Do not leave it in a warm environment, like hot car or pants pockets, it will get very soft. If it does get soft, i just dab it on ranther than rolling/wiping on.
Also its best to roll it down when not in use, but not necessary.
I used to be addicted to Vaseline products for my lips and this is far superior in many ways.

Not really good as a lip balm
It is way too melty or liquidy when applying. It's like putting oil on your lips. No staying power. I actually ended using it more as a skin moisturizer like a lotion. It's pretty good for that. I haven't even tried taking it with me in my pocket as I think it'll turn to a liquid like coconut oil down here in sunny hot Florida. .
