A very good treatment of the subject matter, especially valuable as it mines the Japanese sources, which have largely been ignored by the Western historians. Liquid Gold for Old Engines

Designed specifically for vehicles with over 75,000 miles, this oil provides exceptional performance and protection. Its advanced formula includes conditioners that help rejuvenate seals and reduce oil leaks—something I noticed right away after switching to this product.
I’ve noticed less engine noise, even during cold starts, which used to be a problem in the past. The wear protection offered by this motor oil is also impressive. Knowing it fights sludge and deposits gives me peace of mind, especially since I live in an area with fluctuating temperatures. Whether it’s a hot summer day or a cold winter morning, this oil performs consistently well.
