Saint Dominic leaves a large legacy from his faith on earth. Not only did he found the Order of Preachers—the Dominicans—but he also began and popularized the prayer of the Holy Rosary. In the early 1200s, St. Dominic was dismayed at the lack of success with his ministry in France. Grumbling in prayer through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, Our Lady revealed the prayer of the Rosary to St. Dominic as a fruitful prayer for converting hardhearted peoples. The way in which the rosary is prayed has changed over the centuries, but its devotion has been encouraged through the Blessed Virgin and other holy figures throughout the years as a holy weapon against hard hearts to pave an open path to preach the Gospel of Christ. Since its revelatory origin, praying the Rosary has been instrumental for many, including St. Dominic, in converting souls to Christ. At Our Lady's request, pray the Rosary so that all may know and meet her Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Extend the testimony of St. Dominic of Caleruega to others, regularly regain your inspiration from St. Dominic's example, or exercise generosity by giving a friend the gift of St. Dominic's witness to Christ and His Church with this That One Sheep shirt.
