A bona-fide Nigerian prince and probably the only musician to have ever played with Fela Kuti, Miles Davis and Bob Marley, Eji Oyewole combined African Highlife with western jazz to create a hybrid so that was as smooth as it was funky. His first album, Charity Begins At Home was an angry tirade against corruption in Nigeria. Me & You is his 'relationship' album, a brighter and happier set of songs that sees Eji all loved up, presumably with the mysterious 'Cameleon' featured on the cover. Eji's flute is no longer a strident voice raised in anger. Instead, on 'Me & You' and 'I'm a Dancer' it is a playful line of seduction. On the wonky and woozy 'Eniafelamo' his sax is a post-coital salutation. Even the one political track, 'Long Live Nigeria', is a loved up call for peace, progress and trust. Chilled, assured and dexterious, Me & You is a sophisticated showcase of Eji Oyewole's chops. 'This is the beginning of an atomic musical evolution,' he declares on the cover. A special book, nothing else like it
Format: Paperback
I'm a fan. I had the earlier edition of this book but gave it up along with the rest of my large library when I relocated. It was one of maybe 3 books in my collection that I really longed to have back. So I was happy to discover this new edition and buy it. The author is one of a kind. Nature seems to have gone out of Her way to reveal secrets to him so he could inform people like me; and so intelligently and sensitively that he is listened to and respected by at least part of the establishment--he even is part of the establishment--for talking to nature and communicating about it. His drawings of the intelligent energies of plants, trees, etc. are perfect - along with everything else he happens to be an accomplished artist. (If you want, you can find his art online and see him speaking on YouTube--I have sort of a crush on him now.) I try to communicate with nature like he does, and I'm still hoping, but he is a rare special person who could receive this gift and put it across for humanity. And help awaken us. Thank you, Marko. Call me anytime . . . .

Fabulous!

This book is fabulous! It gives a depth to the world beyond what we see. It shows oneness and creative life behind our visual world. The author is a sensitive soul who takes me to the world of living Beings beyond our sight and their beautiful actions that enhance our world. It shows how we must become sensitive and considerate to the life of plants and things of the earth in order to nuture our earthly home.

Absolutely love this book

Absolutely love this book! Echoes a lot of my experiences. if you're at all interested in working with nature spirits, I would highly suggest this book! He offers a very in depth account of his experiences and since this is the second edition, he also includes how differently he feels or sees some of the things he originally wrote.
