There were too many pills, side effects from the meds, and physical and emotional changes. She felt as if she was losing the battle. With a determined spirit, and faith in God, Ruth Anne decided to take the next step in fighting the disease in the form of DBS, (Deep Brain Stimulation) surgery. Part three of this memoir goes into detail about her experiences. Ruth Anne writes to help inform other patients on strategies for dealing with this insidious disease, and finally what the outcome of this dramatic surgery was for her.
