Care
General Maintenance: It can be an aquatic plant in up to 6" of water, but it must be introduced gradually to avoid shock. When the flower has stopped blooming, cut the entire stem off at the base to promote more growth. Can be brought outside in the summer, and kept inside in the winter.
Temperature: Temperature must stay above 15°C to avoid dormancy.
Light: Full sun is best. In front of a South facing window would be ideal.
Watering: Never let cannas dry out completely. Water when the top 0.5-1 inch is dry. You can also fill a saucer with water and set the pot in it to bottom water these plants, as they love it moist.
Soil: Organically rich, moist, well drained soil will allow this canna to thrive.
Fertilizer: Diluted fertilizer once a month all year round (this will help promote/sustain flowering).
