Chloe: The Left-Behind Angel

At the Angel Academy, where all the little angels practice perfecting their flights, Chloe the angel sits and struggles because she is having a hard time with her performance.

Doubting she has what it takes, Chloe feels she will never live up to the expectations others have for her. But one particular day, she faces an unexpected test that only the strongest and most special of all the angels can pass.

Chloe, the Left-Behind Angel teaches us that no matter what obstacles we may face in life, we must never give up, for only the strongest survive.

About the Author

As a child, Elaine Vanderberg read every book in her school library and loved fiction. She still reads several books a week and serves on the Board of the Friends of the Darcy Library in Beulah, MI.

Elaine has always enjoyed working for and supporting the arts, even becoming a silversmith in her spare time. She makes bead bracelets, which she donates, gives away, or sells through her Frankfort Art Center. She has served on more committees than she cares to mention and still does, and she’s also a supporter of her local hospital, both as a volunteer in the gift shop and on the Auxiliary Board. She feels an affinity for the hospital, as she worked as a Medical Technologist for 16 years in her hometown of St. Joseph, MI. Elaine and her husband have three children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. And she never made up a story for any other than McKenzi!

Very Important Message for All of Us
Format: Hardcover
Absolutely delightful, oftentimes comical look at what is a very serious situation, collection of memorable metaphors of a memoir. A real page turner. I highly recommend it. There is a subtle recognition of a spiritual nature that we are all born with. Only some of us have the courage to live out the compelling spiritual direction that we come into the world with. Thank you Kyle.

Parents beware!
Format: Hardcover
This books is about a trans child running away from home and it basically teaches children how to do it. Nearly a step by step example. Then at the end of the book the author offers “resources” and advice. The first advice the author gives is “this book itself is the advice” (meaning: run away from home) and then the author lists ways a child can get around their parents. Even telling children that if they have parental control features on their phones preventing them from looking up stuff (assuming “resources” to run away) that they can go to the library, even suggesting they ride their bike to the library so their parents don’t know, to look up “resources” at the library. My daughter was somewhat disturbed by this book. She said: “I feel like it’s trying to brainwash me into hating you! I had to remind myself of who I am like every chapter. I’m afraid for kids who don’t know better.” Parents beware!

Nasty
Format: Hardcover
Terrible blaming parent for trying to protect their child. She is committing a great moral evil. Shame on Dial Books for Young Readers for greenlighting a book with such a false, evil, and vindictive premise.
