The author appeals to the energies of those engaged in a wide range of contemporary social justice struggles such as ecosocialism, antiracism, the women's movement, LGBTQ rights, and antiwar forces. As the dialectical counterpart of MarcuseÕs Great Refusal, the book, which culminates with the ÔEarthCommonWealth ProjectÕ is keyed to what we are struggling for, not just what we are struggling against. The author argues that regressive political forces must be countered today, and this is best accomplished through radical collaboration around an agenda recognizing the basic economic and political needs of diverse subaltern communities. System negation must become a new general interest. The author discusses core ethical insights from African philosophical sources, indigenous American philosophy, and radical feminist philosophy. HumanityÕs first teachings on ethics are to be found in ancient African proverbs. These subsequently served also as a critique of colonialism and neocolonialism. Long-suppressed indigenous American sources supply a philosophical and political critique of Euro-centric economic and cultural values. They also offer an understanding of humanityÕs place in nature and the leadership of women and attest to modes of cooperative and egalitarian forms of community. Feminist anthropology furnishes an historical context for understanding the origins of patriarchy and how to move beyond dominator power to new forms of partnership power.

The book envisions the displacement and transcendence of capitalist oligarchy as such, not simply its most bestial and destructive components. This is a green economic alternative because its ecological vision sees all living things and their non-living earthly surroundings as a global community capable of a dignified, deliberate coexistence. It is searching for a new system of ecological production, egalitarian distribution, shared ownership, and democratized governance, having its foundation in the ethics of partnership productivity with an ecosocialist and humanist commitment to living our lives on the planet consistent with the most honorable and aesthetic forms of human social and political fulfillment.

Marc Joseph's Shoe 👞
Size: 8, Color: Tan Napa
Marc Joseph's Shoe 👞: I ordered a size 8 for my husband. He wears socks with his shoes. It’s a little tight slipping on. Other than that, the shoe is very comfortable. My husband grabs them all the time because they are so comfortable.

Quality Shoe, but slight design issue
Size: 10, Color: Tan Napa, Size: 10, Color: Tan Napa
I like the way these fit and feel. I normally wear a size 10, and these are a 10. Very comfortable to walk in. I think they're stylish enough to wear with jeans or chinos. The leather is nice quality. However, the issue I am noticing, only a few days into wearing these (I've worn 3 times) is that the bottom material doesn't come forward far enough. The tip of the shoe juts out and as you walk the tip rolls forward on to the ground surface and is wearing away at the leather. I mean, I've only wore these 3 times and I am getting major concerns about their durability. I would choose another shoe if I could go back, as these are an indoor shoe only as they're currently designed.

Nice looking
Size: 11, Color: Cognac Grainy
I normally wear an 11.5 (including other Marc Jacob’s- including this make from 2024). The shoes are a pretty soft leather. I had to return for a size 11 which feels slightly tight but now, through experience, I know will stretch. I wear these shoes almost every day in black or brown They look great. Note, these shoes (because all leather) wear out relatively quickly, especially the front. I keep a fake leather Pair (almost identical looking) which are not nearly as comfortable (I don’t take walks in them) but look better for dinners etc.
