Near-infrared two-region (NIR-II) fluorescent molecules are a class of molecules with remarkable fluorescence properties in the near-infrared two-region in the wavelength range of 1000-1700 nm. The light in this spectral region has a small scattering and large penetration ability in biological tissues, so the NIR-II fluorescent molecules have a wide range of applications in bio-imaging, medical diagnostics, etc. The two materials XFAI06 and XFAI07 are NIR-II fluorescent molecules in their own right, but due to their aggregation-induced luminescence properties, they can also be called AIE molecules.
