Double-LP version. 180 gram vinyl; gatefold sleeve. Drummer Louis Hayes, best known from his work with Cannonball Adderley presented together with his co-leader, tenor-saxophonist Junior Cook, known from his work with Horace Silver, a fantastic hard bop quintet, which featured young Woody Shaw on trumpet. The trumpeter turned 32 in the year this recording was made and was already on track for a career, which would make him one of the most important representatives of contemporary jazz (silenced way too early!). Shaw died in 1989, not even 45 years old. Already almost completely blind, he lost an arm in a subway-accident. Shortly afterwards his body just gave up. Recordings of Shaw together with his own ensemble are among the highlights of the Onkel Pö-series and more will follow soon. Shaw is exemplary for the musician at the crossroad between tradition on the one side and change on the other. He was able to perform freely but still keep a close attachment to the masters who had influenced and formed him. Until today he is one of the great forbears and casts a long shadow on young musicians, who again and again explore the narrow path which separates tradition and progress. Recorded March 11, 1976 at Onkel Pö's Carnegie Hall, Hamburg, Germany; Recorded by NDR Hamburg. Personnel: Woody Shaw - trumpet; Junior Cook - tenor sax; Ronnie Matthews - piano; Stafford James - bass; Louis Hayes - drums. Features extended liner notes in English and German by Michael Laages.

At 56 years old my skin is pretty dry but this was still a little to heavy for a face cream-- but usable in a pinch. What it is PERFECT for is for your hands before you go to sleep at night. You know you're going to touch your face and pillow during the night so heavily fragranced creams aren't good at all. This is thick enough to make your hands and cuticles feel great but gentle enough not to cause problems if transferred onto your face.

This product feels fantastic when you put it on. A little goes a very long way so you get a lot for your money. It does work great after just lightly drying your face. There isn’t much of a smell, which I prefer. I have very sensitive skin and this is so soothing to use. I’m also in my late 40’s so the soft, plump and smooth look achieved after using this is so nice. If it makes your skin greasy at all you are using too much.

Buy!! Worked well for my eczema
Love love love this product!! It’s AMAZING for my winter skin. The consistency is thick enough to deeply moisturize and keep my skin hydrated all day long. It made my skin super clear, smooth, and healthy-looking.
It also really helped clear up my eczema, especially the eczema and dry patches on my face. My dry spots became so much smoother and less irritated after using this consistently.
The jar lasted me a good while, which I loved since I use moisturizer constantly. There’s no fragrance, the application is super easy, and the consistency feels sooo nice on the skin. It absorbs really well and leaves my skin feeling soft and glowy.
It honestly worked so well that I didn’t even need to use primer before my makeup anymore 😭 that’s how good this product is!! I will always repurchase, especially during the winter 💕
