The musical duo of Shane Butler & Caity Shaffer released their debut album as Olden Yolk last year, an alluring concoction of hypnagogic folk & kosmiche rhythms, expanding & refining Butler's work in his former band Quilt toward a more focused direction. The songs on "Living Theatre" were written & recorded during a heavy time of transition & upheaval for the duo, with personal tragedies and a big move from their NYC home to a warmer climate in Los Angeles coloring the album's inception. Musically, the duo's songwriting has gelled into a unified front, relying more on the subtle shifts of melody & rhythm than a barrage of chord changes; Living Theatre's hooks lap at your feet like a babbling brook, rather than bowl you over like violent waves. The refinement in tunes like "Castor & Pollux", "Grand Palais" & first single "Cotton & Cain" points to a new frontier for the group; soaring skyward toward the emotionally textural plateaus of trailblazers like The Go-Betweens or Yo La Tengo. There's a discernible romantic feel to tunes like "Violent Days" or Distant Episode's lush arrangements - Living Theatre showcases a band breaking free from it's chrysalis, and embracing it's next phase of evolution.

Perfect for Heavy Chewers—Huge Hit in Our House!
Color: Aurora Beast
This toy is an absolute favorite in my house! My dogs are usually pretty picky and can destroy most toys within minutes, but this one has seriously impressed me. It’s super durable while still being soft enough for them to carry around and cuddle with.
They’re completely obsessed—whether they’re chewing on it, tossing it around, or just walking around proudly with it in their mouths. It keeps them entertained for a long time, which is a huge win.
Definitely worth it if you have strong chewers and want something that actually lasts. I’ll be buying more from this line for sure!

SUPERB FOR AGGRESSIVE CHEWERS
Color: Betty Bigfoot
Our Silver Lab, Theo, is a VERY aggressive chewer who loves destroying balls! We bought Barkbox Betty for Theo’s Birthday, and it was almost a week before Theo removed the cover when he discovered the ball inside and he loves it! And it’s tough design seems to be holding up! Eager to figure out if it floats!
We will definitely buy this high quality toy again!

Too hard and heavy.
Color: Fowl Play
Very cute idea but my dog was not at all interested. It’s too hard for her to chew on. She didn’t even care enough about it to rip the outside. It’s hard and heavy. I will stick with the non-super chewer bark toys. They don’t last as long, but she loves them.

Tough & fun!
Color: Betty Bigfoot
This is my puppy’s favorite toy. I’ve bought 4 in case he eventually finds a way to destroy the ball because he is a 1 year old super-chewer. That said, this ball is TOUGH! It’s taken severe abuse from our dog & we couldn’t be more satisfied.

Not as tough as they make it seem
Color: Buck Wild, Color: Buck Wild
My dog chewed it up and destroyed it in less than 4 hours. I have a GSP 8 month old. She’s definitely a super chewer but this didn’t last at all. The tail crumbled apart and she ate some of it.
