The EVP Maverick R P47-400 Turbo System is a high-performance upgrade that utilizes a precision-machined conversion of your factory turbocharger. To ensure a smooth transition and minimize vehicle downtime, EVP has established a specific Turbo Core Charge and ECU Unlock process.
Because this system relies on converting an OEM core, your factory turbo must be in full working order, free of damage, and have minimal wear to be eligible for the P47 conversion.
The P47-400 Turbo Core Process

| 1. Preparation | Remove heat shields and use a high-pressure hose to clean all dirt, grease, and sand from the turbo, manifold, and downpipe area. |
| 2. Removal | Uninstall the turbocharger. You must remove the wastegate, wastegate bracket, heat shields, manifold, and all hardware. |
| 3. Protection | Tape or plug all coolant and oil passages to prevent contamination during transit. |
| 4. Documentation | Print, fill out, and include the EVP Turbo Core Form in the shipping box. |
| 5. Shipping | Ship the stripped turbo core to EVP’s Wisconsin facility for a viability inspection. |
Timeline for Shipping: Once EVP approves your core, your new P47 system will ship within 3 business days (if in stock). If stock is unavailable, please allow up to 14 business days.
ECU Unlock & Tuning Options
To run the P47 system, your MG1 ECU must be unlocked. You have two choices:

Zero Downtime ($1,000 Refundable Core): EVP ships you an unlocked ECU first. You pair it using the CodeShooter 2.0 App and have 14 days (30 for international) to return your stock ECU for a full $1,000 refund.

MG1 ECU Send-In: Ship your physical ECU to Somerset, WI, with the ECU Submission Form. Turnaround is typically 5–7 business days (10–14 during sales) after EVP receives it.
Critical Requirements & Existing Customers

Mandatory Hardware: An EVP CodeShooter Flashing Device is required for all P47 Turbo Systems.

X85 Tuned Customers: If you already have the X85 package, you can easily upgrade to Flex Fuel tuning and hardware through the EVP website.

Pump/Race Gas Tuned Customers: If you are already unlocked but running standard gas tunes, call EVP at (855) 387-8863 to coordinate your P47 upgrade.
Technical Tip: When shipping your turbo core, ensure it is packed securely. EVP is not liable for damage sustained during transit, and a damaged core may be rejected for the P47 conversion.
