Hotcakes is singer-songwriter Carly Simon's fourth studio album. Released in 1974, it became one of her biggest selling albums. The album featured the major hits "Mockingbird", a duet with her then-husband James Taylor (a cover of a 1963 hit for Inez and Charlie Foxx), and "Haven't Got Time for the Pain". Recorded during her pregnancy with her first child, many of the album's songs reflected Simon's upbeat mood during this period. The album's cover photo shows the pregnant Simon sitting in a gleamingly white kitchen, smiling brightly and wearing a bohemian white linen dress. The album went gold immediately and it stayed on the charts for eight months, yet it was initially overshadowed commercially by two other major albums released by Simon's own label, Elektra/Asylum, in the same month as Hotcakes, Joni Mitchell's Court and Spark and Bob Dylan's Planet Waves. These took the #2 and #1 spots, respectively, on the Billboard album chart while Hotcakes peaked at #3. Hotcakes went on to sell several hundred thousand more copies than Dylan's album and was listed in the Top 40 of Billboard's Year End Top albums for 1974, while Planet Waves did not make the Top 50. This is one of the lowest VOC oils. Important if your vehicle is GDI. Should help keep valves cleaner.

Went with a 30 weight because of ambient temperatures
Size: 1 Quart, Style: 6-Pack, Configuration: Euro LX 0W-30
Running this in my wife's 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. We live in Arizona and 100+ temps is normal thing. Did a lot of research on this before I decided on running a 30 weight, technically a 40 weight is recommended for our temperature. I noticed that her car was rattling on startup and was worse when it was a hot start. After switching to a 0w-30 I noticed the noise was substantially less. Fuel mileage was not changed she's still averaging 32mpg with her manual transmission vehicle. I've done my research and yes I know about staying with the factory recommended weight but we don't see subzero temperature and we are definitely not seeing the the average 80f summers. 40Fwinters and 105F summers are the norm here. Yes ambient temps effect oil decisions. I also prefer Euro Spec oils over SAE because of Europes extended drain intervals of 10-12k miles. I change every 5k or 6 months.

Super easy to install, good quality, fits correctly. What more could you ask?
A performance gain, you may ask. Ha. This is a gutless 2.4L 4-banger. No performance to begin with, and no gain after installing this. :-)
