We know it can be hard to find the best friction mallets for your gongs, so we've put together some of our favorites for sound therapists, spiritual healers, percussionists, and general gongists who want to make whale sounds with their gongs.
The eGong Wand is made with silicone rubber, adding durability. It can create soft low notes and can build loud resonance as well. These mallets work great on Chinese gongs. They can be used on Paiste gongs, but they can leave residue or smearing, so they are best used on the back.
Tone of Life's Set of Friction Mallets are imported directly from Europe in three different sizes for a range of tones. You'll need to wash them with soap and water before first use to get them ready for use, otherwise they'll leave streaks on your gongs.
