Martin Heidegger's (1889-1976) influence has long been felt not just in philosophy, but also in such fields as art, architecture, and literary studies. Yet his difficult terminology has often scared away interested readers lacking an academic background in philosophy. In this new entry in the Ideas Explained series, author Graham Harman shows that Heidegger is actually one of the simplest and clearest of thinkers. His writings and analyses boil down to a single powerful idea: being is not presence. In any human relation with the world, our thinking and even our acting do not fully exhaust the world. Something more always withdraws from our grasp. As Harman shows, Heidegger understood that human beings are not lucid scientific observers staring at the world and describing it, but instead are thrown into a world where light is always mixed with shadow. The book concludes with a comprehensible discussion of the philosopher's notoriously opaque concept of the fourfold.Binding Type: Paperback

The perfect ball for a small to medium dog.
Style: Ultra, Size: Small (2 Pack)
My dog's favorite ball. Perfect size for playing catch and return for a small dog. She loves to chew on the ball. Very durable she has not been able to shred the ball.
A great entertainment value. This ball does not squeak.

Great ball!
Color: Ultra, Size: Large
Our puppy loves this ball. It has held up well so far, it’s about 2 weeks now of large breed pup play. It’s been outside for the last week, rain or shine, still in working order. Not as big as I thought it would be though. No squeak, bounces well. Thick rubber like material, that can be depressed when biting down.

Color: Ultra, Size: Large
I have a teething puppy and this is the only ball that has outlasted the rest!! Big chewer and still bounces and no tears! Keeps him entertained for hours!! Sturdy, solid, good quality and value!

Durable, even for a Great Dane!
Color: Ultra, Size: XXL
I've bought many tennis ball sized ChuckIt balls in the past (for medium sized dogs we've owned), so when we knew we were going to be babysitting our daughter's Great Dane, I bought a bigger one for her. The 4" is perfect for her! She plays catch with it, but also likes to gnaw on it. It holds up great!
