The separate glass top slots neatly onto the frame and has been sand cast, a technique dating back to the 15th Century where the design is carved into sand and molten glass poured in. When cooled, the sand is removed to reveal the cast glass to be smooth on the surface but with a wave like pattern and the occasional air bubble, giving the finished piece a beautifully textured, unique finish. I have sensitive skin that is constantly getting irritated by moisturizers/seemingly simple skin care products. I read a few blogs/articles/reviews on different products others have tried for similar issues and this one came up, so I decided to give it a try. It’s nice and light and goes on smoothly. Skin feels moisturized and does not get irritated, so that’s a win! The only reason I took off 1 star is it leaves my skin a bit oily for my liking, but that could just be my skin.
