General Description:

The bendir is a traditional frame drum widely used in various musical cultures, particularly in North Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Europe. It typically features a circular wooden frame with a single skin stretched over it, often made from goat or fish skin. The drum is played with the hands, though sometimes with a mallet or a combination of both. The bendir’s distinctive sound comes from its deep, resonant tones and its ability to produce a wide range of rhythmic variations, making it a key instrument in many folk, ritual, and spiritual music practices. It is often associated with Sufi ceremonies, particularly in Morocco and Tunisia, where it is used to accompany chanting and dancing during religious rituals.

In terms of structure, the bendir is usually smaller than other frame drums like the darbuka or tabor, and its skin is often tuned to a lower pitch. In some variations, the drum includes snares or wires stretched across the inside of the frame, creating a buzzing effect when played, which adds to its distinct sound. The bendir plays an important role in ensemble music, providing a steady rhythm foundation, and its versatility allows it to accompany both solo performances and larger group compositions. In contemporary settings, the bendir is used by world music performers and can be found in fusion genres, blending traditional sounds with modern musical styles.

Playing fetch for hours
Size: Medium, Style: Medium (4 Pack)
Tennis balls with the hairs pick up so much dirt and then that goes right into my dog's mouth. These are cleaner, my dog loves them, and they are easy to find when my pup decides he's done and drops it in the lawn or the snow. They hold up well after playing hours of fetch with my border collie.

Built tough for puppies
Size: Medium, Style: Medium (4 Pack)
These are great, the bright color stands out in grass outdoors they bounce well on hard floors indoors, and they’ve held up well even after a couple weeks of a very chew happy puppy playing with them.

Best ball for retrieving ever
Size: Medium, Style: Medium (4 Pack)
I have been using a ball launcher to exercise my Border Collie. Up till now I have been using the launcher to throw tennis balls. Even with the launcher I can only throw the balls a couple of hundred feet. These balls go MUCH further. I am using a steep horse pasture to throw the balls and I have to make sure that I don't launch them past the fence at the end of the pasture. I think the thing that makes them go further is their weight combined with a smooth surface. They also have incredible bonce. They hit and just shoot way up into the air. Also, the tennis balls I was using were green. In my horse pasture they were easy for the Collie to miss since they blended right in to the grass. These balls with the orange with blue stripes are far easier for the dog to find. It's really hard to tire out a Border Collie but these balls do the job.

Great fun for retrievers
Size: Medium, Style: Medium (4 Pack)
Great durable balls. Use these with or without the thrower. Lab puppy loves to play fetch and these are easy to spot in the yard. Our neighbor has 2 pit bulls who also plays with them. Will buy them again if need be.
