Ringo Starr, who has been making headlines with the release of his 2025 Country album, is back with his latest live video Blu-ray title, featuring two historic live performances in the country mecca of Nashville. The first time Ringo Starr performed on stage at the “Grand Ole Opry,” the oldest country radio show in the U.S., on February 21, 2025, in a one-camera shootout in high-definition HD quality. Ringo, who has loved country music since his Beatles days, made his longtime dream come true with this memorable live performance of only three songs at the sacred site. Extras include news and footage from the Jimmy Kimmel Show. The second half highlights a special concert at the Nashville Ryman Auditorium on January 14, 2025, with T Bone Burnett as MC, Jack White, Sheryl Crow, Brenda Lee, Emmylou Harris, Billy Strings, Larkin Poe, This special concert was held as a benefit concert for the LA wildfires, and featured a variety of guests from rock to country, including Molly Tuttle, Sara Jarosz, Jamie Johnson, and many more. Do I love it? Yes. Is it well made? It certainly appears to be. Is the leather thick? Yes, I’d say definitely thick and sturdy. Do I like the color (Bootlegger Brown)? Of course I do, it’s gorgeous. It seems very well made. The corners are secured with black fasteners, which I think are going to better than the buttons in the long run that I’ve seen on others. It’s was this brand, or Hide and Drink for me. I went with these guys because it’s U.S. made, and hopefully American sourced leather. I bought the Large. My concern was that the XL might be too large for my nightstand. I measured it out and everything. However, I was not counting on the length and width to be measured from the end of the pinched corners, so I was a little disappointed about the size of the useable surface area. It’s not a big deal, but I wish that I’d have just spent the extra $5 and got the XL. If I we’re to get another, I definitely go with the XL unless you just want something on the smallish side, but still I suspect that they are larger that what most others are offering. At least these guys give you a choice of options.
