Description
Two Prairies, One PlaceThe Kasota Prairie is located in Le Sueur County, Mn. It begins around the little village of Kasota and ends near Mankato, largely bordering the Minnesota River. Although it is small in size, it is the home to one of the remaining tall grass prairies in the state and the site of two of the nation's largest limestone and sandstone mining operations. The environmental history of these seemingly opposing landscapes is discussed in this book. Bob Douglas
