Descente Finder Men’s Insulated Ski Jacket

The Descente Finder Men’s Insulated Ski Jacket is a premium, 20K-waterproof, 4-way stretch ski shell with 60 g synthetic insulation, S.I.O. pattern engineering, and advanced ventilation—built for skiers who want all-day warmth, mobility, and laser-precise temperature control from first chair to last lap.

Why the Finder Jacket Hits the Sweet Spot

  • Serious weather protection: A Dermizax 20,000 mm waterproof membrane, taped critical seams, and a 4-way stretch outer fabric keep you dry and fully covered when the storm rolls in, without feeling stiff or crunchy.
  • Warm, low-bulk insulation: About 60 g of synthetic insulation in the body (3M Thinsulate / Heatflex) delivers reliable warmth on cold lift rides while keeping bulk low so you still feel nimble in bumps and trees.
  • Smart climate control: Dual Zip Ventilation in the front and Descente’s rear Breathing System work together to dump excess heat and moisture fast, helping you stay comfortable from bootpack hikes to sunny spring laps.
  • S.I.O. pattern engineering: Descente’s S.I.O Tailored Fit uses fewer seams and an ergonomic cut to improve range of motion, reduce bulk, and place stretch panels exactly where you move most while skiing.
  • Heat Navi technology: Heat Navi helps convert light into additional warmth, giving you a little extra boost of heat on frigid, high-altitude days without adding more insulation.
  • Purpose-built ski features: Quick wrist adjusters, Lycra inner cuffs, an integrated powder skirt, back pocket, plus dedicated pockets for your pass, electronics (IC pocket), and goggles keep essentials secure and easy to reach.
  • Refined, clean styling: A simple, streamlined silhouette with subtle embossed shoulder detailing looks sharp on the hill and in the village, while also adding a bit of grip for shouldering skis.

Made for Real Resort Days

The Finder Jacket is ideal for intermediate to expert resort skiers who want a true “all-conditions” insulated shell. If your days range from icy groomers and windy chairs to storm-day laps in deeper snow, this jacket gives you the warmth, stretch, and venting to adapt—without sacrificing a clean, understated look.

How It Stacks Up

Compared to lighter shell-only jackets, the Finder adds built-in insulation and Heat Navi for extra warmth without going full “big puffy,” making it an excellent single-jacket solution for most resort climates. Versus heavier, park-oriented coats, it stays more streamlined, with S.I.O patterning and stretch fabric that feel precise and technical on snow.

Bottom Line: If you want a clean-looking men’s ski jacket that quietly packs 20K waterproofing, targeted insulation, and genuinely useful venting and pocket features, the Descente Finder Men’s Insulated Ski Jacket is built to keep you warm, dry, and dialed-in all season long.

Zip it up, dial in your layers, and head for the chair—this is the jacket you’ll reach for every resort day.

Must have in modern high compression GDI engines!

So bought this for my new Mazda 3 Turbos' first oil change. I was originally going to use Liqui Moly MoS2, due to the OE Mazda oil using a very high Moly PPM (800ish) formula and not having easy access to a similarly formulated oil. After doing some more reading i decided to use Ceratec instead, mostly because it doesn't make the oil look super dark (for warranty purposes, If for some reason i do have a problem with the engin i don't want the dealer saying I just didn't change my oil). So initial results are awesome, the valve noise is pretty much gone. And the engin just feels smoother, and sounds like is not even trying when reving it out. With that success I bought another one for my girlfriends non turbo CX30 when i changed her oil. Her engine has always been just a little noisier than my old non turbo mazda 3, and my new Turbo model. I've used the same oil in both (Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20 or 5w30 in the turbo). It had the normal lifter noise, but it always sounded raspy when accelerating hard, like it was really at the edge when floored. So as a before and after test I changed the oil fist with NO Ceratec, engin sounded happier, ran a little smoother, but basically the same as before, Normal stuff after an oil change. So I added the Ceratec, literally you could hear the lifter noise melt away as it mixed with the oil, I was in my garage so the effect was even more stark. The engine also idled smoother, to the point if you were in the car, you wouldn't know it was on without the engine RPM readout. So i took it for a test drive down the road and stepped on it after getting it up to Temp. The raspiness was completely gone, it sounded like it was happy as a clam reving right up to redline. This wasn't a "i think it might be better" differance, it was a night and day difference, a wow that impressive difference. As for fuel consumption reduction claims, i don't know yet, from what i read you need to dive it 300-400 miles to get a valid result. I only have 150ish on mine and 75 on hers. First impressions were really positive, highly recommend to anyone wanting to keep a car for a really long time. Only downside is the price, this stuff is really expensive... but i look at it like this, $600 over the life if the vehicle if you keep it to 150K miles, with 6k oil change intervals is pretty cheap insurance. compared to an engine rebuild.

¿Snake oil? At least it worked for me
Style: Modifier, Style: Modifier
Very cheap compared to buying it locally, here in my country. Used the Ceratec with the Leuchtlauf High Tech oil. 143K miles on my 2.5 mk6 Jetta. It started to make some tappet/lifters noise, very minimal but it was there. As soon as I started the engine, and about 30 minutes in , I could clearly hear the difference. How I heard the difference? With the hood closed now I can barely hear the engine, unless I put my ear close to the grille. Now I only hear the working injectors. Totally recommended. Can’t speak about gas consumption, I’ll have to drive 500-1000 miles to speak confidently. Recommended for giving older engines a longer lifespan. Update: After 15 days or so, and about 150-200miles later, I noticed my Jetta’s engine feels lighter and smoother. No placebo effect, it’s just there. Since I bought two Ceratec bottles, I used the second bottle on a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport with the Mivec 2.0 engine. These engines are quite noisy, specially the injection noises, and I had a very concerning lifters ticking. I did my oil change yesterday, and today the ticking is gone, all I did was use Liquimolys engine flush, Valvoline oil and the Ceratec. I’ll post an update if I get better fuel economy and smoothness on my Mitsu.

Durable and well fitting
Durable and well fitting. I drive a Honda Accord 2014 and when the under engine covers started falling off I used these to replace the ones that came off. They work well and the prying tool made replacing the retainers easier.
