The Seiko 5 Classic Automatic SNKK98K1 is a sophisticated and bold dress watch engineered for men who admire the rich aesthetic of traditional mechanical watchmaking mixed with daily resilience. As an iconic entry in the legendary Seiko 5 lineup, this model delivers unbeatable value, combining structural durability, self-winding convenience, and an eye-catching, monochromatic gold profile that doubles as a high-end fashion statement. The defining visual characteristic of the SNKK98K1 is its dripping, all-gold styling. It features a beautifully polished 38mm gold-plated stainless steel case with a fixed bezel and an ergonomic crown seamlessly integrated at the 4 o'clock marker—a classic Seiko 5 design element that improves wrist comfort by preventing the crown from digging into the hand. The warm gold-tone dial face is detailed with luminous baton hands and matching applied index hour markers, ensuring bold contrast and high visibility in low-light environments. Beneath its executive, luxury-oriented exterior, this watch is powered by Seiko’s proven, in-house Japanese automatic movement (Caliber 7S26). Driven purely by the natural kinetic motion of the wearer's arm, this 21-jewel self-winding mechanism completely eliminates the need for electronic batteries while maintaining an approximate 40-hour power reserve when fully wound. Turning the watch over reveals a transparent screw-down exhibition caseback, allowing enthusiasts to watch the intricate mechanical gears, springs, and rotor in full motion. Built to handle the elements of a busy modern lifestyle, the dial face is shielded by a proprietary, scratch-resistant Hardlex mineral crystal window that offers superior protection against impact and routine abrasions. The internal movement is safely sealed against moisture up to 30 meters (3 bar), keeping the engine fully secure against daily handwashing splashes, unexpected downpours, and light rain. Completed on an integrated, solid gold-toned stainless steel link bracelet equipped with a secure fold-over clasp with a push-button release, it provides an exceptionally comfortable, stately presence under any dress cuff.

Better than the Chronicles
Format: Paperback
I hope DC keeps on publishing these omnibus series up to the silver age and also the softcover option. I much prefer these new softcover editions over the older chronicles series for several reasons. These STGA softcovers are very big almost twice the stories compared to the chronicles and at a very affordable price. Actually a very good price. Also the paper is one hundred times better, I hated the chronicles' paper. Amazon is wonderful too, they now deliver my comics to my house in Costa Rica in less than a couple of weeks, they always arrive before the scheduled time. Excellent service. The only thing to complain is the reproduction. I consider that Marvel makes better efforts than DC to restore their GA stuff. The Cory Sedlemeier books like the Marvel Comics Golden Age omnibus look like they were drawn this morning. DC is usually quite cheaper and prefers not invest in that. So we get the same results as the old early 2000s Archives. I know today it is impossible to get original art pages of action comics 1-10 But I still think that compared to Marvel DC is very lazy and a skintflint when it comes to restoring their old books.

Got it for my college class, it was a required text.
Format: Paperback
Got this book for one my college class, no joke this was a required text. But overall it was an okay read, only reason why I gave it a 4 out 5 is because I prefer to read books for enjoyment and interest, reading a book for class takes that away.

Superman, a Dark Knight in the Skies
Format: Paperback
This is a beautiful tome of the first issues of Superman under Action Comics and the first Superman issue. Although providing the same texts of Chronicles, I find this series better because they have more issues per volume. In spite of its 390 pages, these volumes are light and easy to handle. Albeit the simplicity and innocence of these stories, Superman impresses me as a "dark knight" of the skies given his toughness with the bad guys. In these stories, he's got no compassion for criminals. He also defends the working class, stand for fair treatment of workers, and even takes an "isolationist" stance which was popular in the days before WWII. Another surprise for the first-time reader of this period is that Superman can't fly; he can only leap over tall buildings. There is no Krypton and no Daily Planet. The city of Metropolis is introduced for the first time in the second half of this tome. And Lois Lane is often relegated to unimportant journalistic tasks, while she has greater ambitions. It is a great experience to read these old stories in a beautifully designed tome. I hope they reproduce the others quickly.
