Six Questions Your Clean Eatz Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this franchise unit financial model using our own research into the health-focused fast-casual sector. Key assumptions, including the $49,500 franchise fee, $14,000 monthly rent, and revenue streams like Grab-N-Go meals, are pre-populated and fully editable to help you prepare a financial forecast for a franchise loan. Speed to profit depends on your ability to scale meal plan subscriptions and B2B contracts alongside traditional dine-in traffic.

When does profitability kick in?

Based on the researched data, this franchise unit becomes profitable in April 2026, just four months after the initial launch. This assumes you hit the $935,000 year-one revenue target while keeping food ingredients at 11.5% and royalties at 6% of gross sales.

Boosting Unit Margins

  • Scale recurring meal plan subscriptions
  • Optimize kitchen supervisor scheduling
  • Minimize packaging supply waste
[dynamic_pic9]

What is the total buy-in?

You will need approximately $494,000 to launch this franchise unit in the US, which covers the $49,500 franchise fee and significant leasehold improvements. This investment analysis includes $95,000 for kitchen equipment and a $14,000 initial inventory load to ensure a smooth opening.

Capital Allocation Breakdown

  • Leasehold Improvements: $225,000
  • Kitchen Equipment: $95,000
  • Franchise Fee: $49,500
  • Furniture and Fixtures: $42,000
[dynamic_pic10]

Is the ROI worth the risk?

The model projects an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 2.32% with a 5-year payback period, reflecting the high initial CAPEX of a premium build-out. While the ROE stands at 0.88, the long-term value lies in the year-five EBITDA, which is projected to reach $541,000 as the location matures.

Key Investment Metrics

  • Internal Rate of Return: 2.32%
  • Years to Payback: 5
  • Year 5 EBITDA: $541,000
[dynamic_pic11]

Where is the break-even line?

The monthly break-even point occurs in month 4, requiring the unit to cover $14,000 in rent and $2,300 in utilities. The primary driver for reaching this point is the volume of Grab-N-Go meals, which defintely accounts for the largest portion of the early revenue mix.

Accelerated Recovery Levers

  • Increase daily Grab-N-Go volume
  • Secure early B2B wellness contracts
  • Monitor payment processing fee leaks
[dynamic_pic12]

How deep is the cash hole?

The lowest cash point occurs in March 2026, with a minimum cash requirement of $693,000 to navigate the pre-opening and initial ramp-up phase. Managing operating expenses in a food franchise unit during this window is critical to maintaining a healthy cash runway before the unit turns cash-flow positive.

Liquidity Protection Steps

  • Phase furniture and fixture delivery
  • Negotiate rent-free build-out periods
  • Limit pre-opening crew member hours
[dynamic_pic13]

What if sales miss targets?

Our franchise business model financial projection template allows you to stress-test how Low, Medium, and High scenarios impact your bottom line. A shift to the High case, driven by aggressive local marketing and corporate partnerships, can significantly pull forward the 5-year payback and improve the year-one $71,000 EBITDA.

Driving High-Case Outcomes

  • Execute hyper-local digital campaigns
  • Host weekly in-store tasting events
  • Train staff on nutritional education

Great value for the price, highly recommend
Color: Dogwood & Calming, Size: Medium
Our dog loves these and chews them down to nothing. They are a great value for the money and the use your dog gets out of them. The size is just right for our doberdor.

Our dog loves it but it wasn’t durable enough to last
Color: Dogwood Jack, Size: Large, Color: Dogwood Jack, Size: Large
Our lab took to it as soon as we gave it to her. Perfect size for our 80 lb yellow lab. However, now that it’s in about 10 days, she’s able to break off chunks from this bone that are dime size or larger, and we have to throw it away

No problems after a year and a half
Color: Dogwood & Calming, Size: Medium
Have been regularly buying these for my corgi for about a year and a half. The 2 pack lasts about a month or 2 each time. Pieces break off in small enough pieces that they safely pass through his digestive system. He gnaws each one down to about 1/4 the original size before we take it away and give him a new one. He continues to have regular bowel movements and has a healthy appetite so I can’t imagine any problems arising after so long. I have tried other alternatives and every other similar chew breaks off in larger pieces and didn’t feel comfortable letting him chew/eat them. I noticed there are a few 1 star reviews saying their dogs got sick off these but after a year and a half I have had 0 issues with this product. I guess it depends on the dog and how big of pieces they are swallowing. My dog ingests pieces about the size of a grain of rice so just pay attention and you should be fine.

Long lasting and safer alternative to sticks
Color: Dogwood & Calming, Size: Medium
These are great, very durable, and have lasted a very long time. Much safer for my dogs than the random sticks they find in the yard. They do get shorter with chewing eventually, but they don't break off in little chunks like I've seen with some nylon chews, and they don't splinter like wood. Medium size works well for both my 16 lb Cavalier and my 60 lb Pyrenees/Golden mix. They're both moderate-to-aggressive chewers, though size obviously affects how much damage they can do. I wish you could buy the hemp chew separately because that one is very much a favorite in my house, so after 2 years and 2 purchases, I have barely any left of the remaining hemp chew, but still 2 of the dogwood chews that neither dog is as interested in anymore. I'd love to buy a couple more of just the hemp one.

Your dog will thank you.
Color: Dogwood & Fresh Breath, Size: Large
My dogs loves to chew on these. They make a small mess but not as bad as other chews. They are food for keeping teeth clean.
