A fascinating insight into the debates and controversies about the position of women in medieval culture, written by France's first professional woman of letters The pioneering Book of the City of Ladies begins when, feeling frustrated and miserable after reading a male writer's tirade against women, Christine de Pizan has a dreamlike vision where three virtues--Reason, Rectitude and Justice--appear to correct this view. They instruct her to build an allegorical city in which womankind can be defended against slander, its walls and towers constructed from examples of female achievement both from her own day and the past: ranging from warriors, inventors and scholars to prophetesses, artists and saints. Christine de Pizan's spirited defence of her sex was unique for its direct confrontation of the misogyny of her day, and offers a telling insight into the position of women in medieval culture. The Book of the City of Ladies provides positive images of women, ranging from warriors and inventors, scholars to prophetesses, and artists to saints. My 3 year old 20 lb dog chewed the nose and squeaker out within an hour after receiving this toy. Had to throw it away.

Durable Fun for Chew-Happy Dogs
Size: Medium, Style: Squeaker
This dog ball has been a hit with my dogs, despite their tendency to chew through toys. These balls hold up surprisingly well given his chewing habits, which is why I keep coming back to them. They provide endless fun with their squeaky feature, keeping my dogs engaged and active.
One thing I really like is their durability. While my dogs do eventually chew them up, they last a significant amount of time compared to other toys we've tried. The squeaker adds an extra layer of excitement, making playtime even more enjoyable for my dog. However, if your dog is an aggressive chewer, be prepared for some wear, tear, and replacement over time.
The squeaker balls are worth it for the durability and entertainment they provide with the current price tag. They withstand a good amount of chewing, making them a reliable choice for medium breeds that love to play and chew. Just remember that they will not last forever.
