AJAX LightCore Touchless Smart Light Switch (1-Gang)
Experience the perfect fusion of professional security and sophisticated smart home convenience with the AJAX LightCore Smart Switch. This 1-gang relay is the core component of the AJAX LightSwitch system, designed to replace your traditional light switches without the need for a neutral wire. Its large, touch-sensitive panel responds not only to a direct tap but also to a hand approaching within 15 mm, offering effortless, contactless control. This is ideal for maintaining hygiene in public spaces or for when your hands are full. A soft, optional backlight ensures you can easily locate the switch in the dark without disturbing your sleep.
More than just a switch, the LightCore integrates seamlessly into the Ajax ecosystem, allowing for advanced automation scenarios. Control lighting, simulate your presence when you're away, or even manage curtains and blinds remotely through the intuitive Ajax mobile app. Installation is straightforward, fitting into a standard European-type mounting box without requiring new wiring. The system is built for reliability, featuring overcurrent and temperature protection, and communicates via the encrypted Jeweller radio protocol for secure, long-range performance. Please note, this is the LightCore relay module only; a compatible SoloButton, CenterButton, or SideButton front panel is required for operation.
Key Features:
- Contactless & Touch Control: Activates with a light tap or when a hand is within 15 mm.
- No Neutral Wire Required: Easily replaces existing switches using only a live wire.
- Advanced Automation: Create scenarios based on security modes, schedules, alarms, or environmental triggers with LifeQuality.
- Remote Management: Control your lighting from anywhere using the comprehensive Ajax mobile apps.
- Long-Range & Secure Communication: Utilizes the proprietary Jeweller radio technology for encrypted communication up to 1,100 meters from a hub.
- Built-in Protection: Features safeguards against current overload (over 2.6 A) and high temperatures (over 60°C / 140°F).
- Wide Compatibility: Works with lighting devices rated from 5 to 600 W. A capacitor is included for stable operation with low-power lights.
- Optional Night Backlight: A soft LED backlight can be enabled or disabled in the app settings.
