It follows her struggles and those of the man she loved as they carved out a life in the Indiana wilderness. The story follows the next generation through the Civil War as Jeremiah Vance fights with the 140th Indiana Regiment. Three separate generations of Vance men see the ocean for the first time aboard a troop transport on their way to battle in three different wars. War in the Pacific in 1945 is brought to life through William Vance and the 33rd Infantry Division on the Island of Luzon. The story brings the reader up to the present time in a most entertaining and spellbinding fashion. This historical journey will feed your mind and ignite your spirit. This work includes geneology charts going back to 1300 B.C. as well as a seven generation descendant report.
