About the Author:
As a child, Douglas R. Carlile grew up in the Chicago suburbs. His childhood was one of less social involvement with peers and non-involvement with school-sponsored activities. He finished high school and went into military service at 20 years of age after seeing little chance for success in the atmosphere around him. After less than a year’s time in service, he felt that he had fit right in the military.
