Hasami porcelain is made in the village of Hasami located in Nagasaki, a specialist Porcelain town for over 400 years. Using traditional glazing techniques with a proprietary blend of natural stone and clay materials, the outer texture of Hasami Porcelain is a result of many years of development to bring out the very best of these raw natural resources.
The natural colour has a textured finish while the Black and Gloss Grey have a smooth finish with the texture apparent on the rim of the plates, bowls and mugs.
The bottom of the mug is slightly recessed making the mug look like it hovers on the table. The mug will pair with the 8.5cm plate that can be used as a coaster, lid to keep your coffee or tea hot or to hold your favourite biscuits.
Each piece is individually boxed making them a beautiful gift that can be used everyday.
Available in Natural, Gloss Grey or Black and are 8.5cm diameter with two heights - 7.2cm or 8.9cm high.
Microwave and Dishwasher safe. Not suitable for the oven or open flame.

Size recommendation
The 7.2cm tall mug holds 300ml while the 8.9cm tall mug holds 380ml. A standard coffee size is 177ml or 6oz while a large is typically 340ml or 12oz. We find the 300ml is a good size for a coffee mug while the 380ml is a good overall mug size.
