Australia is home to some of the most incredible animals on Earth — many found nowhere else! With this project, my aim is to share the charm, character, and spark conservation about Australian animals in a way that’s engaging, artistic and fun. I believe that learning about animals helps foster curiosity, empathy and a sense of environmental responsibility. Plus, who doesn’t love a loud, cheeky kookaburra or a peculiar platypus?

Book specifications:

This board book will measure about 20 cm (7.8 inches) on each side, a generous square format that allows you to take in all the little details of the artwork. Made with thick, high-quality board pages that are durable and child-friendly, both sturdy and beautiful, ideal for gifting or collecting. Also, the book will have gold foil on the cover and spine, making it gift-worthy and visually striking.

🦘 About the Artworks

Each illustration in the book was painted by hand using watercolours, capturing the unique character of each animal. Coloured pencils were layered over the watercolours to add subtle depth and texture, while touches of white gouache were used to highlight key features and add fine details. Once complete, the artworks were scanned and digitally finalised to prepare them for high-quality printing.
