Cartier Santos Octagonal – Gold & Steel Automatic PM (Ref. 0907, Circa 1980s)

The Cartier Santos Octagonal in gold and steel captures the essence of late 20th-century luxury—elegant, architectural, and unmistakably Cartier. A creation of the 1980s, this reference 0907 embodies the maison’s mastery in merging technical sophistication with timeless design.

The Case – Iconic Geometry, Enduring Craftsmanship

The two-tone case, executed in gold and steel, presents the distinctive octagonal bezel that defined the Santos lineage during this era. Each screw is perfectly aligned, showcasing Cartier’s obsessive attention to detail. Measuring the elegant Petite Modèle (PM) size, the case remains in amazing condition, with crisp edges and a smooth polish that catches light beautifully.

Its flat sapphire crystal is perfectly preserved, while the original blue sapphire cabochon crown—a Cartier signature—adds a touch of royal refinement. The integrated gold-steel bracelet, featuring the iconic exposed screw design, reinforces the harmonious blend of utilitarian engineering and Parisian luxury.

The Dial – Minimalism and Elegance

The original white dial stands as a masterclass in Cartier’s understated style. It’s adorned with blued steel hands that shimmer subtly against the clean Roman numeral layout, a hallmark of the brand’s identity. Every printed element remains sharp and even, with the dial surface retaining its pure tone and symmetry.

This is vintage Cartier at its most elegant—uncluttered, balanced, and immediately recognizable.

The Movement – Precision in Motion

At the heart of this Santos beats the Cartier Caliber 076, an automatic movement known for its reliability and refined finishing. This example has recently received a fresh service, ensuring that it is running smoothly and keeping excellent time. The automatic caliber brings practical modernity to the watch, making it a piece of everyday elegance as well as a collector’s treasure.

The Bracelet – Comfort and Character

The two-tone gold and steel bracelet remains long and complete, accommodating wrists up to approximately 17 cm. Its alternating brushed and polished links echo the architectural DNA of the Santos family, while its flexibility and fit make it exceptionally comfortable on the wrist.

Read it to ok for 9 year old
Format: Kindle
I heard about this series and wanted to see if it would be up her alley. I downloaded this book to read before bed and now it's the middle of the night. I ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the book. I'm a woman in my 40's and it was a great read for me! I know my daughter will really enjoy it. She struggles with her vocabulary so I've been selecting and pre-reading books and gathering words I know she will be challenged by. Then I make those her spelling words for the week and use the words in sentences 100k times until she knows them. Doing that has really improved her reading experience and helps her flow through the book easier and enjoy it far more. Great book.

USS Indy 500
Format: Kindle
Very good book. Super interesting and great articulation for a young reader. Very captivating and very inspiring. I’ve read escaped prison island aswell (check it out) and Scott peters and Ellie Crowe are really good authors! Definite read and I love how they tied in ww2 to something you would have never associated a shark story with. Learned a lot thx.

Freedom isnt free
Format: Kindle
This is an unbelievable story. Of course I had known of the USS Indianapolis and the shark attack, but never had I actually listened to a first hand account. How terrified these men had to have been. Its beyond comprehension really. The sacrifice, bravery and fortitude humbles me. Thank you to all who serve.

Best way to explore Paris
Format: Paperback
This book is awesome! I enjoyed reading it just as much as my kids did! I love the layout and the way that the book assigns the kids to be secret agents, but defers to the case officers (parents) for the final say. We were in Paris for 1 week and although the weather was less than cooperative, we were able to capture our 100 points and award our 4yo and 7yo their secret agent certificates. I love the fact that you can work on this book in any order and do as little or as much as you want at each attraction. The price was awesome and worth every penny. My 7yo particularly enjoyed the challenges at the Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre and it was a great way to keep those visits focused and entertaining for the kids. My 4yo was a little young to stay engaged with every "mission", but the activities were easy enough that she could help (ex. finding a winter scene in the Musee D'Orsay). I loved that this book engaged the kids but didn't detract from any of our visits (we didn't feel like we had to go "out of our way" to find anything). The only disappointment was that they didn't include Versailles and Sainte Chappelle. I have not only recommended this book to all my of friends traveling to Paris (honestly with or without kids), but I have also already purchased the similar books for London, New York, and Washington DC. Can't wait to see what other cities they add!
